I don't know if you know of this organisation, but they help people out who are usually self-sufficient, but find themselves in a temporary situation with expenses outside their control. Modest Needs runs on donations and helps as many people per month as they possibly can. They also help families at Christmas. You may want to check them out, or pass this info on to Jana. Place into a 1-quart canning jar. Put the chopped pecans on top. Seal well. Attach the following instructions to a gift tag: Snow Balls Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, cream together 3/4 cup shortening & 1/4 cup butter or margarine. Stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. Add the entire contents of the jar & mix well.
