Sometimes life looks so dark and lonely and everyday the same old same old. When you are suffering from Chronic illnesses that are not understood. Then you have a relapse of your Multiple Sclerosis and you know you are in for another roll of therapy. Depression wants to set in. But Thanks be to God, I came to the computer and found an email from Pakadevas titled Inspirations for Sunday. I run about a day or two behind so I don't mind if it is Sunday or Monday. Thank you for allowing the Lord to work through you to inspire others and to be the witness that you are. I know you are receiving Blessings. I just ask the Lord to continue to Bless you and your work. In Christian Love, Brenda B. (Indiana) * * What I remember most about Rob was his perserverance in his life to deal with his illnesses, and to try to take care of the people he cared about. He truly must of been one of the very special people on this earth who cared more about others than he did himself. I loved reading the stories about his life . Janjan * * Remembering Rob. He could make you come out of any funk you were in,just by getting one of his emails. I remember when I wasn't feeling good and would receive one of his stories about his life in the service and I would seem to perk right up. He had so many great recipes, which I think you should send out once again. It would be like having him there for us. ' Also he made you feel ,no matter who you were you were SPECIAL! Whether he knew you in person or just through his sites. All this is something that can never be taken away from us and now Angels and God gets to share. Christine V. * * Patsy: I love your newsletter and enjoy reading it. Today (Sunday) I read two articles that I especially enjoyed - "Hands" and the story of the dog that followed his owner to school. I hope you don't mind that I reposted them at two sites I manage - one on Angels and another for the Over the Hill group - both on MSN. I stated in the postings where I got them. If you wish, I can delete them; but I hope they can stay. Thanks for such beautiful thoughts at a time when they are most needed. Sharon * * My name is Christie and I was one of the recipient's of your wonderful Christmas gifts and i had wrote to you about my youngest daughter, having tumors in her bones. I have very good news. We went and got a 2nd opinion and the doctor said that she never had tumors. He stated that she had a fracture in her foot and when they Xray'd her they found what is an air pocket with a cyst in it. The doctor stated that it is very common to have air pocket's in their bones. He stated that since she has had this steel boot on for the past 2 months her left leg is smaller and shorter then her right, but with time it will even out. I can't tell you as a mother what relief I felt. i told the doctor I could just kiss you. I haven't felt this light in about 4 months, it is like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I just wanted to let you know the outcome and the power of prayer, since I have been asking for your prayer. To let you know the goodness of God! Thank you for all you do Christie M. Woodstown, NJ * * Hello Patsy, Thinking about you today. Thinking about Rob and his Passing 1 year ago. God Bless you really good in the coming year. May the Spirit of Rob live in your heart forever. From everlasting to everlasting the Lord's love is with those who fear him" (Psalms 86:5; 103:17). Scripture Focus: Psalm 86 I ask with a sense of wonder, Lord, You abound in love to me? He answers, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness" (Jeremiah 31:3). You've drawn me, Lord? Why? "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save, he will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing" (Zephaniah 3:17). "But, Lord, aren't You forgetting my weakness? The difficulty I have accepting myself sometimes"? Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? . . .Neither death nor life. . .neither the present nor the future. . . nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:35, 38-39). Nothing can cut me off from Your Love, Lord", Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live" (Psalm 63:3-4). Insight: Accept and count on God's great forever love. Go through this day with joyous recognition of His love. Thank you Sefoe:) (\o/) (\o/) Ability is what you're capable of doing....... I watched the flag pass by one day, It fluttered in the breeze. A young Marine saluted it, And then he stood at ease.. I looked at him in uniform So young, so tall, so proud, With hair cut square and eyes alert He'd stand out in any crowd. I thought how many men like him Had fallen through the years. How many died on foreign soil How many mothers' tears? How many pilots' planes shot down? How many died at sea How many foxholes were soldiers' graves? No, freedom isn't free. I heard the sound of Taps one night, When everything was still, I listened to the bugler play And felt a sudden chill. I wondered just how many times That Taps had meant "Amen," When a flag had draped a coffin. Of a brother or a friend. I thought of all the children, Of the mothers and the wives, Of fathers, sons and husbands With interrupted lives. I thought about a graveyard At the bottom of the sea Of unmarked graves in Arlington. No, freedom isn't free. Enjoy Your Freedom & God Bless Our Troops. One day, a man went to visit a church. He got there early, parked his car, and got out. Another car pulled up and the driver got out and said,"I always park there! You took my place!" The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down. A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That's my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing. After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, "That's where I always sit! You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing. Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place." She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Wal-Mart. We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day. The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said. "What?" Mom asked. "Let's run through the rain!" She repeated. "No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied. This young child waited about another minute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain," "We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said. "No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm. This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet? "Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!" The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes. Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith. "Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said. Then off they ran. We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars. And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing. Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories...So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday. To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. A friend sent this to me to remind me of life. Hope you enjoy it. I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN. Take the time to live!!! Keep in touch with your friends, you never know when you'll need each other -- and don't forget to run in the rain! Aim at Heaven and you will get Earth thrown in. Aim at Earth and you get neither.
