Dear Patsy & Kay,

I have not written to you in a very long time.    But I have had a very heavy burden for the both of you and your families.   You know Patsy that you and Rob were there for me through a long trail of bad times.  I do not know what is wrong with Kay's husband but GOD  DOES!!!!!   And he is the MASTER HEALER, HE CAN DO ANYTHING ANYTIME THAT OUR PRAYERS COME BEFORE HIM!

Maybe my little story will show you how he works in his way!

This is about STINKY A LITTLE SKUNK!
We had a mother skunk have 3 babies under our front porch in the spring of last year! They were cute little black and white fellas or girls, we did not try to see if they were boys or girls.

WE went to go into town one day and the mother Skunk, had been hit by a car up on the highway.  We prayed, "GOD TAKE CARE OF OUR LITTLE STINKERS AND Don't let them die?

We did not see them for almost 3 weeks and as we came home from Church late in the evening, we saw the little ones barely walking in front of our trailer. We started putting our table scraps and fed them some dog food and they all grew and left to find their place in the world.

They all three were marked differently in the way the black and white strips were arranged. But the smallest one was marked with 2 white stripes down each side of his back and right up the middle of the tail.

then early this spring a skunk moved in under the front porch and we did not see what it looked like for almost a month.
Well one night I WALKED OUT ON THE PORCH TO SEE WHAT THE WEATHER WAS LIKE AND THERE STOOD ...........YEA, IT WAS STINKY!
WE COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY HE WAS BACK , BUT GOD IN HIS OWN TIME LET US KNOW.

YOU SEE ALL THIS TIME WE WERE HAVING RACCOONS GET IN OUR GARBAGE AND TEARING UP THE GARDEN AND FLOWER BEDS.
NOW ARE SECRET WEAPON TAKES CARE OF THEM FOR US. AND HE'S EVEN A GENTLEMAN. HE SPRAYS HIS LOVELY PERFUME AWAY FROM THE HOUSE.BUT THE ANIMALS NEVER COME BACK AGAIN.

HE IS JUST OUR LITTLE STINKY ANGEL!

SO JUST PUT YOUR TRUST IN HIM AND IN HIS TIME ALL OF IT WILL BECOME CLEAR!

LOVE AND PRAYERS FOR ALL OF YOU,
Sheryl F.
Marcola, Oregon

P.S.  i am the one that had a redheaded woodpecker come to church

Hi Patsy,
Just wanted to know how you were doing?  You haven't said in a while if you are doing better. I know it is hard to love someone and then loose them.  I had you and Kay on my mind so I just thought I would write you and ask how you were doing.

I am parying for Kay and her husband as I pray for you each day.  I hope that he will be blessed and that they will be able to help him and if possible make him well.

I do still get the 3 newsletters each day, I just recieve them at yahoo now.  They kept getting blocked on my regular e-mail so I just use the yahoo account for all my great e-mails from you ladies.

Take care and know that you and your family are thought of often and that I miss the mail when I don't get anything from the two of you.
Annette H.

The Reading of Psalm 23

Touching words from the mouth of babes.
What does Love mean?

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore.  So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love."
Rebecca- age 8

When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth."
Billy - age 4

Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
Karl - age 5

Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs."
Chrissy - age 6

Love is what makes you smile when you're tired."
Terri - age 4

Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
Danny - age 7

Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss."
Emily - age 8

Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
Bobby - age 7

If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate."
Nikka - age 6

Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."
Noelle - age 7

Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
Tommy - age 6

During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling.
He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore."
Cindy - age 8

My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
Clare - age 6

Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken."
Elaine-age 5

Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford."
Chris - age 7

Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."
Mary Ann - age 4

I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones."
Lauren - age 4

When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you."
Karen - age 7

You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if  you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."
Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry".

When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need.

Prayer for my friend:
Bless my friend in whatever it is that You know she may be needing this day! May her life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as she seeks to have a closer relationship with You.

Thank you Connie N:)

When you thought I wasn't looking...

(Written by a former child)

A message every adult should read, because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for me and I learned that the little things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have something should give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and I learned that sometimes things hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say, "Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking."

LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT. Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher or friend) influence the life of a child. How will you touch the life of someone today? Just by telling this to someone else, you will probably make them at least think about their influence on others.

Thank you Sherry M:)

The Nails and the Fence

There was a little boy with a bad temper. His father gave him a bag
of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, to hammer a
nail in the back fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence.
Then it gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold
his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He
told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now
pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father
that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and
led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look
at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in
anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a
man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry,
the wound is still there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed. They make you smile and
encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share a word of
praise, and they always want to open their hearts to us. Show your
friends how much you care.

I AM A CHRISTIAN
By Maya Angelou

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean living."
I'm whispering "I was lost,"
Now I'm found and forgiven.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need CHRIST to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and need HIS strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
but, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain,
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
who received God's good grace, somehow.

Thank you Patricia B:)

REACTIVE SNEEZING (a must read!)

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-three students filing into the already crowded auditorium. With rich maroon gowns flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt. Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and moms freely brushed away tears. This class would not pray during the commencement ----- not by choice but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it. The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but they were routine.. until the final speech received a standing ovation. A solitary student walked proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and then, it happened. All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!! The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said, "GOD BLESS YOU, each and every one of you!" And he walked off stage... The audience exploded into applause. The graduating class had found a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the court's approval! Isn't this a wonderful story?
Pass it on to all your friends.........and GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

Thank you Renie:)

Dirt Roads..=^\.......

What's mainly wrong with society today is that too many Dirt Roads have been paved.

There's not a problem in America today; crime, drugs, education, divorce, delinquency,  that wouldn't be remedied, if we just had more Dirt Roads, because Dirt Roads give character.

People that live at the end of Dirt Roads learn early on that life is a bumpy ride. That it can jar you right down to your teeth sometimes,  but it's worth it, if at the end is home...a loving spouse, happy kids and a dog.

We wouldn't have near the trouble with our educational system if our kids got their exercise walking a Dirt Road with other kids, from whom they learn how to get along.

There was less crime in our streets before they were paved. Criminals didn't walk two dusty miles to rob or rape, if they knew they'd be welcomed by 5 barking dogs and a double barrel shotgun.

And there were no drive by shootings.  Our values were better when our roads were worse!

People did not worship their cars more than their kids, and motorists were more courteous; they didn't tailgate by riding the bumper or the guy in front would choke you with dust & bust your windshield with rocks.

Dirt Roads taught patience. Dirt Roads were environmentally friendly.  You didn't hop in your car for a quart of milk; you walked to the barn for your milk.  For your mail, you walked to the mail box.

What if it rained and the Dirt Road got washed out? That was the best part!  Then you stayed home and had some family time, roasted marshmallows and popped popcorn and pony road on Daddy's shoulders and learned how to make prettier quilts than anybody.

At the end of Dirt Roads, you soon learned that bad words tasted like soap.

Most paved roads lead to trouble; Dirt Roads more likely lead to a fishing creek or a swimming hole.

At the end of a Dirt Road, the only time we even locked our car was in August, because if we didn't, some neighbor would fill it with too much zucchini.

At the end of a Dirt Road, there was always extra springtime income, from when city dudes would get stuck, you'd have to hitch up a team and pull them out.  Usually you got a dollar... always you got a new friend...at the end of a Dirt Road.

The Truth abour failure

Failure doesn't mean YOU are a failure
it does mean you haven't succeeded yet.

Failure doesn't mean you have accomplished nothing
it does mean you have learned something.

Failure doesn't mean you have been a fool
it does mean you had a lot of faith.

Failure doesn't mean you have been disgraced
it does mean you were willing to try.

Failure doesn't mean you don't have it
it does mean you have to do something in a different way.

Failure doesn't mean you are inferior
it does mean you are not perfect.

Failure doesn't mean you've wasted your life
it does mean you've a reason to start afresh.

Failure doesn't mean you should give up
it does mean you should try harder.

Failure doesn't mean you'll never make it
it does mean it will take a little longer.

To all of you from me:)

Shining Through The Tears

It??™s easy to be pleasant when life flows by like a song.
But the man worth while is the one who can smile
When everything goes dead wrong.

For the test of the heart is trouble
And it always comes with years.
And the smile that is worth the praises of earth
Is the smile that shines through the tears.

I know that a lot of you do this, as do I sometimes. We must keep going & keep smiling, cause no matter how tough life gets, there is still something we can smile about...a family member, a friend, a sunset grand, a beautiful mountain & the thought that: this too shall pass; & when it does, we'll be a better, wiser person in the end.

God bless you & Love to all from Patsy & Kay xoxoxo
