We are just headed out to see some of the beautiful native dances, crafts etc. this is a craft for kids: To make an Indian Rain Stick, take a paper towel tube and paint any color. Let dry then tap tacks or little nails all up and down the sides. Duct tape over one end of the tube and add about a cup of rice or dry beans. Duct tape the other end. When you flip the tube over you will hear the sound of falling rain. Kids can decorate the tube with feathers and cord tied around the ends. Pottery, beadwork, tourquoise jewlery and other jewlery,Dream Catchers,ect ect. I can not even begain to write or explaine it. My Children have made many Dreamcatchers from kits that are supplied. Each one is more wonderful than the last. Here is S.D. they have days set apart for Indian Danceing. Many of these days the audiance peoples are invited to join in. What a wonderful time that is.
