Thank you, Patsy and Kay!  I know that prayer works, and I agree with you about doctors - I am seeing one, and he has me on a medication, but there have been some extenuating events happening that are making it worse for me. I know I don't need to mention them, because I know that when prayers are said for my healing, that the reasons for my depression will also be taken care of - God knows what is in my heart, and what will heal it.  I am going to continue to consult with my doctor though. Thank you for your prayers, and for adding me to the prayer list.  As always I will continue to pray for you and your family also - Kyle needs to heal, but we can't forget the rest of you in the process! Take care,
Bobbi

Dear Patsy & Kay,
I just wanted to let you know that my prayers and thoughts are with
you, Kay, Kyle and the children.  I know this is so hard for all of you
since you lost your husband so recently.  God always know what is
best for all of us, but it is certainly difficult for us to understand. I pray God will give you all the strength that you need in this time of
need.  Yours in Christ,
Pat in GA

Hi Patsy
My prayers are with you, Kay and her family. Tell her not to give up hope. My mom had a brain aneurysm . She went into a coma and had a stroke. They also told us she would never be the same. But after the surgery and lots of therapy she is in perfect health today. So as you can see miracles do happen. I like how you are keeping us updated about Kyle.   Love Always   Vickie

One Good Deed...

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.  He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him
a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, How much do I owe you?"
You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."
He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Many years later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.
He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case. After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all.
Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words.....
"Paid in full with one glass of milk" (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."
There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the waters comes back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time. If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place-And, after all, isn't that what life is all about?

Thank you Renie:)

I would have you learn this great fact:  that a life of doing right is the wisest life there is.  If you live that kind of life, you'll not limp or stumble as you run.

Thank you TahitiDonna:)

God is always in control:

A man from Norfolk, Virginia called a local radio station to share  this on Sept 11th, 2003. His Name was Robert Matthews.
These are his words:

"A few weeks before Sept 11, 2001, my wife & I found out we were going to have our first child.

She planned a trip out to California to visit her sister.

On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would grant my wife a safe trip & be with her.

Shortly after I said 'amen' we both heard a loud pop and the car shook violently.  We had blown out a tire.

I  replaced the tire as quickly as I could, but we still missed her flight.  Both very upset, we drove home.

I received a call from my father who was retired FDNY.

He asked what my wife's flight number was,  but explained that we missed the flight.

My father informed me that  her flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower.

I was too shocked to speak.

My father also had more news for me; he was going to help.

'This is not something I can just sit by for, I have to do something.'

I was concerned for his safety, of course,  but more because he had never given his life to Christ.

After a  brief debate, I knew his mind was made up.

Before he got off of the  phone, he said, 'take good care of my grandchild.'

Those were  the last words I ever heard my father say; he died while helping in the rescue effort.

My joy, that my prayer of safety for my wife had  been answered quickly, became anger.

Anger at GOD, at my father, & at myself.

I had gone for nearly 2 years blaming God for taking my father away.

My son would never know his grandfather, my father had never accepted Christ, & I never got to say  good-bye.

Then something happened.

About 2 months ago, I was sitting at home with my wife and my son, when there was a knock on the  door.

I looked at my wife, but I could tell she wasn't expecting anyone.

I opened the door to a couple with a small child.

The man looked at me and asked if my father's name was Jake Matthews.

I told him it was.

He quickly grabbed my  hand and said, 'I never got the chance to meet your father, but it is an honor to meet his son.'

He explained to me that his wife had worked in the World Trade Center and had been caught inside after the  attack.

She was pregnant & had been caught under debris.

He then explained that my father had been the one to find his wife & free her.

My eyes welled up with tears as I thought of my father giving his life for people like this.

He then said, 'there is something else you need to know.

His wife then told me  that as my father worked to free her, she talked to him & lead him to Christ.

I began sobbing at the news.

Now I know that when I  get to Heaven, my father will be standing beside Jesus to welcome me,  & that this family would be able to thank him themselves."

When their baby boy was born, they named him Jacob Matthew in honor of the man who gave his life so mother & baby could live.

This story should help us to realize two things: First, that although it has been four years since the attacks, we should never let it become a mere tragic memory. We must never forget this tragedy and the heroes that died to save others.

And second, but most important, GOD is always in control.

We may not see the reason behind things, & we may  never know this side of Heaven, but GOD is ALWAYS in  control.

Thank you BJRB:)

To all of you from me:)

Refreshing Thoughts...

1. Faith is the ability to not panic.
2. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you prayed, don't worry.
3. As a child of God, prayer is like calling home every day.
4. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
5. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still, so He can untangle the knot.
6. Do the math. Count your blessings.
7. God wants spiritual fruit not religious nuts.
8. Dear God: I have a problem. It's me.
9. Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted.
10. Laugh every day; it's like inner jogging.
11. The most important things in your home are the people.
12. Growing old is inevitable; growing up is optional.
13. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
16. We do not remember days but moments. Life moves too fast so enjoy your precious moments.
17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it; otherwise it's just hearsay.
18. It is all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just be sure to flush when you are done.
19. Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage. The goals and dreams you are seeking require courage and risk-taking. Learn from the turtle; it only makes progress when it sticks out its neck.
20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
21. There is no real point to having a good memory unless you have something good to remember.

We all need to keep our minds refreshed with good thoughts, even in difficult times...for out of every challenge we face, comes something really good. We just have to think & realize what that is.
God bless you & be good to each other.
Love to all from Patsy & Kay xoxoxo
