*?¤*.????.?·????`?»*?«????`?·.????.*?¤*1262 Hello everyone, Yesterday was the big meeting with the Doctors. Apparently it was a very strange meeting. There was a team of Doctors & they told Kay & the family that they are baffled. IF Kyle hadn't started responding on the weekend, it was gonna be a very grim meeting...however, tests show that he really did not have a stroke. They said his blood pressure so high was what put him in an unconscious/coma state. He DOES have brain damage, but, they don't know how much at this point. He has dropped 50 lbs. in these 2 weeks. He had EVERY symptom of a stroke, but, no stroke. He is responding minimally, but, not coherent in any way. They plan to do a Tracheotomy in the next few days, to avoid damage & to relieve his throat & mouth of the pain of having the respirator there. They have tested him off the respirator...he doesn't manage without it. They requested the Resuscitate or NOT to resuscitate form from Kay today...as they expect his heart to stop again when this surgery is done, because of the weakness there. IF his heart stops again...there will be furthur brain damage:( Kay wants him resuscitated at this point because..........when she said to him yesterday (I love you Kyle, if you want to say I love you to me, please squeeze my hand), after about 20 seconds, he squeezed her hand:) That is the piece of hope we are going with for now. Thank you, thank you for all the prayers! They work:) Kay is taking the kids to see him today, in case there comes something worse from the next surgery. There are so many that it is imposible to pick and choose the best or most interesting one. Whenever I have time I go to the sites and visit each tribes legends and folklores. From: The clan Cherokee Huckleberry-Honey Cake 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup honey 3 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup milk 1-1/2 cups plus 1 tablespoon unbleached flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup fresh huckleberries or blueberries or frozen or canned berries, well-drained Preheat oven to 350?? F. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and honey. Beat in eggs and milk. Sift in 1-1/2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine thoroughly. In a small bowl, toss berries with remaining flour. Gently fold berries into batter. Pour batter into a 5 x 9-inch loaf pan. Bake for about 1 hour, until the cake is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
