*?¤*.????.?·????`?»*?«????`?·.????.*?¤*1263 Hello everyone, Not much change in Kyle for the visit:( Nikita had a hard time....she didnt want to touch him till Kay suggested she handcream his legs and feet and the Male nurse said he was gonna do it but she could, so she did....She cried a lot....Kiefer was tough. They both hugged him.....Nikita kissed his head cause his eyes would open when she did...rubbed his legs/feet...said wake up dad...she cried a lot...could hardly say she loved him....a sin really. Nikita said....she wants to be by his side day and night and wants to go back and see him real soon. Kiefer came in a rock.......I asked if he was ok too, he said he didn't like to see dad that way...made him sad....Kiefer said get better dad and come home, we miss you....said he loved him. Kyle was very very tired again. He was not moving much. They are doing the stomach tube today & the tracheotomy on Mon. or Tues. He shifted in the bed and moved his head....seemed as if he moved/squeesed my hand a little, but hard to tell because it seemed more like a movement. We are grateful for all your prayers, beautiful notes, thoughts, support, & love. You are greatly appreciated. Here's more great things you have sent me:) When I was a kid, a bowl of mixed nuts on the table during the holiday season meant company was coming over. To embellish on that tradition, I like to serve cashews dressed up with a little extra spice & some dried cranberries. They make a perfect nibbly for entertaining or a thoughtful hostess gift. Indian-spiced cashews 1 tbsp (15 mL) butter, at room temperature 1 large garlic clove, minced 2 tsp (10 mL) curry powder 1 tsp (5 mL) Worcestershire sauce ?? tsp (4 mL) ground cumin ?? to ?? tsp (1 to 2 mL) cayenne pepper 2 cups (500 mL) roasted salted cashews ?? cup (125 mL) dried cranberries In a small bowl, stir butter with garlic, curry, Worcestershire, cumin & ?? teaspoon (1 mL) cayenne. Stir in remaining ?? teaspoon (1 mL) cayenne for more kick, if you wish. Place a medium-size frying pan, preferably non-stick, over medium heat. When hot, add cashews. Stir-fry until fragrant & toasted, from 1 to 2 minutes. Add butter mixture & stir constantly until nuts are well coated, about 1 minute. Remove from heat. Spread nuts out on paper towels to absorb any excess butter. When cool, place in a large bowl or plastic container. Stir in cranberries. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap or a tight-fitting lid. Nuts will keep well at room temperature up to 4 days. Mixed bag: Try this recipe with a selection of nuts such as almonds, pecans & peanuts. Add pieces of dried apricot, mango & pineapple for variety.
