Re:Kyle Coming Home Have not written in a while, so sorry. I am so happy to hear Kyle is home. I had to call my daughter in Florida to tell her. I was sitting here reading your newsletter. My neighbor came in and asked why I was crying. I told her the story. Give Kay my love. You and your family are still part of my prayers every day. Here ya go...a favourite Christmas recipe:) Pecan Pie Cake 1 yellow cake mix (2-layer size) 1 egg 1 stick melted butter 1-1/2 cups light corn syrup 3 eggs 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1-2 cups chopped pecans Mix cake mix, 1 egg and melted butter well. Reserve 2/3 cup of this batter. Spread the rest into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan and bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Mix reserved 2/3 cup batter with syrup, 3 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, and pecans. Pour this filling on top of crust and bake about 50-60 minutes at 325 degrees. Do not expect leftovers. Jean B.
