Here ya go...a favourite Christmas recipe:) Peanut Clusters 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips regular size 1 pkg. reeses peanut butter chips same size as chocolate 1 pkg. of candy bark or candy quick chocolate or vanilla, I usually get vanilla 1 9 oz. can of roasted peanuts In a large microwaveable mixing bowl,melt half pkg. of candy quick, stirring frequently until melted. Add pkg. of chocolate chips to mixture and microwave until chocolate has melted in, stir frequently. Next add the pkg. of reeses peanut butter chips to mixture and melt stirring frequently. When all is melted add the peanuts and stir well. On wax paper drop by teaspoons to make clusters.They will harden pretty quickly. Especially if you set to harden where it is colder. You can use other half of candy bark or candy quick to make another batch! Pour two cups of bean mix into pretty 16 ounce wide mouth jars. Instead of mixing the beans together, you can layer the beans. Very pretty. Just use about 1/8 cup of each bean until you fill the jar. Attach this to the Jar: Holiday Bean Soup Mix Bean Mix from jar 1 smoked ham hock 2 cans, 14.5 oz each stewed tomatoes 1 medium onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 6 cups water 1/4 cup fresh parsley 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon cumin seed Cover beans with water & soak overnight. Drain beans & place in a stockpot. Add ham hock, tomatoes, onion, garlic, bay leaf & 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, cover & simmer 1 hour or until beans are tender. Remove bay leaf before serving. Serve warm. Remove excess grease from soups & stews by putting a lettuce leaf in it. Let the lettuce leaf absorb some of the grease & then toss it. You can put a few ice cubes in your soup & stir them around a bit. Then quickly remove them before they melt.
