*?¤*.????.?·????`?»*?«????`?·.????.*?¤*1869 Hello everyone... A quick update today. I have been busy all day running around doing errands & mainly Insurance things. We had 2 really bad wind storms which has done a lot of damage to our property:( The work can't be done till spring, except covering a piece of the roof temporarily, because it is leaking; till replacement in the spring. The contractor says it's too late & too dangerous to do the work now. We have 7 slopes on our roof, everything has to be replaced except 2 dormers, therefore the whole roof will be replaced. The fence was blown down in back & on the side. It is too cold to pour cement to do it now, so they will be putting up a storm/snow fence, to protect the property somewhat until spring. Insurance won't cover all the damage to the fence, so, we're not sure how we will do this in the spring. I guess the good news is; at least the roof will be entirely fixed. Here ya go...a beautiful note from a beautiful lady, who won the 6-day visit with us in the spring:) Hi Patsy, I read the story about the lack of Christmas in the commercial world - I know for a long time many schools have had winter festivals instead of Christmas programs. I have decided to check out the stores I go to and if they only use "happy holidays" with no reference to Christmas - they shall not have my Christmas shopping (not that this is going to be much monetarily) but they need to know that Christmas is to remember Christ and that gift giving is in similitude of Him as a gift to us and also the gifts given to Him at His birth. Only if shoppers let the stores know we are offended by their omission of Christmas will they understand the majority of us DO remember the true meaning of Christmas - and it is NOT to benefit the retailers! It is a sorry state of affairs that we - as a supposedly Christian nation cannot openly express our love and gratitude for Him and all that He has given us - even our very lives!! I always wear my little pin that says "Jesus is the reason for the Season" Last year when I stayed with my son & daughter-in-law for a few months after the birth of their child and I had not brought much with me and didn't have much $ so I made my own little pin with the same saying since mine was at home. I also have one that is heart shaped and says "Jesus is the heart of the season". I bought my little pins at garage sales. I wear one of my pins every day during the season - all of December. Turn up the volume on the Christmas songs!! Thank you Jesus for everything!! I hope my life can be an example of my thanks to Him, I try. You know your saying that God is seldom early but He is never late - Well I believe He is always there but WE are late in turning to Him as He waits patiently to show us the way.
