Kay & I returned home late last night. We had a wonderful 2 days away. We drove all the way down through the West Virginia mountains & on into North Carolina. We had a nice hotel booked, all Free long distance across Canada & the USA. Gotta love that feature! haha We arrived late afternoon & freshened up & went off to meet our good friend & business associate, Bryan, of winfreecontests & tonsforfree. Great guy! He took us out to a really nice Italian restaurant, where we spent the next 3 hours or so, enjoying a lovely meal & goofin off a little! Bryan showed us part of the city & we later went to his (awesome) home & had a long term business plan/short term Vegas vacation meeting; to meet with other business partners for business & pleasure as well:) We have to work hard for those things, but work we will! Kay's birthday was yesterday & we kinda relaxed early morning & checked out of our room after she opened presents. Bryan took us on a mini shopping spree for Kay's birthday, took us for a massage right in the mall. This Chinese couple will do a massage of your back, arms, neck, head, to your waist...clothes on of course! That was so relaxing after all that driving. We forgot to steal them & bring them back with us! hehe Bryan then treated us to Japanese for lunch & even provided our evening meal for our return trip. Hey, we like business associates like him! He sure took good care of us & was a great host, tour guide, & gentleman all the way. Thanks again Bryan. You sure helped Kay have a day that otherwise would have been sad to say the least. That is why I came here, for her birthday:) When we arrived home the kids had gifts for her & there was one from her Mom in law...well, she had a collection of 3 different angels for her. Kyle always bought her angels, among other things, & so did her Mom in law. This year was very different of course, but, pleasant; but, at a time so tender, the card from her Mom in law was signed: Mom & Kyle. Although it didn't take away the 2 pleasant days, it brought her to tears of course as she remembered birthdays past & how Kyle spoiled her with a day off from work, flowers delivered, a shopping spree planned well ahead, & later the whole family went out to dinner. We know things are different now, but, happy/sad memories will surely come. The memories are a gift as well of course, for they are all pleasant ones. Kay went off by herself for awhile & was ok when she came back home. Bryan...again, thanks bud! Hugs ya!
