Why leave the kids home when you can bring them on a memorable and adventurous trip? Family adventure travel is on the rise and options like hiking through a Costa Rican cloud forest, rafting a river, zipping over and through the trees & scuba diving while exploring the natural wonders of Costa Rica are only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the fantastic trips that a family can enjoy. Active parents and children alike can enjoy sightseeing and being adventurous as a family and parents will give their children the gift of adventure travel that will surely last a lifetime! Most of the hotels we use have a Kid's Club or baby sitters that will take good care of the smaller adventurers while the others dive or tour.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. "So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

Family Vacation Packages Are Our Favorites
Cataratas de Cortez This beautiful waterfall is located in the Bagaces region of Guanacaste. This spot is very popular among the local Guanacaste people, but not very well known as a tourist spot. The waterfall has a beautiful beach at its base, and a natural and safe pool for swimming. You can easily climb to the top of the waterfall and appreciate a great view of the beach and the river. This spot makes a drastic contrast with the surrounding dry forests typical of the Bagaces plains in Guanacaste.
Colorado Divers Try Their Hand At River Rafting
The Sarapiqui River is a narrow waterway ideal for white water novices, as well as families, all of whom will enjoy its moderately flowing rapids, interspersed with tranquil stretches. The journey is also excellent for bird-watchers and other nature lovers. The river stretches its way through lush vegetation that is home to hummingbirds, toucans, woodpeckers and scores of other native bird species. Don't miss this classic tropical river experience. If you want more excitement we also have the Pacuare River that is Class IV and IV Plus.
Canopy Tours Are Enjoyed By All Ages
One of the vogue attractions in Costa Rica for many tourists is to take a real Canopy Tour. This canopy is at the foot of the mountain range where Arenal volcano is located. The view of the volcano from within this rain and very humid forest is spectacular. The tree top canopy has twelve platforms and ten zip lines. The platforms are at an elevation of 150 feet. The shortest cable is 195 ft. and the longest is 1200 ft. It makes the adventure more exciting and high adrenaline.
Note:

Even infants must have a valid passport to visit Costa Rica and all passports must have six months remaining before expiration at time of departure.
