Tourists Can Carry Copy of Passport

Visitors to Costa Rica can now carry a copy of their passport instead of the original while traveling within the country. Vice-Minister of Security Ana Chacón announced Wednesday that the new regulation, applies to non-residents from any country.

Previously, tourists were required to carry their passports with them at all times.

EVERYONE NEEDS A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL TO COSTA RICA
