November 2007 Issue

Hello One Strokers:

***HUGE 50% OFF SALE*** I hope that everyone got my announcement that In-Home Arts is going out of business.  Friday, October 19th was the start of the big sale, and While Supplies Last, all of their products will be sold at 50% OFF!!  There will be incredible prices since most of their regular prices were discounted anyway.   The price on the website is what you pay.  All items have been reduced to 50%.  Check out these fabulous prices.  Stock up now.

Remember they sell much more than just One-Stroke. There is jewelry making, fabric embellishment, home decor, card making and scrapbooking!   You can buy kits for people for Christmas or brushes and paint for yourself.  They have fabric, enamel, outdoor, and the new High Definition paint.  They carry brushes, totes, paint roll-ups, easels, glitter, books, dvds, and many more items.  Be sure to visit my website and see what deals you can find for holiday gifts!!  www.butterflykisses.in-homeart.com

Art Contest Entry:

Well, I entered my first art contest!   I sent in my painting of the Citrus Tower for the 4th annual Artsploration art contest.  I made it through the first round of judging, which means that my piece will be on display for purchase at the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association’s holiday gala during its silent auction; this year’s gala will be held on Saturday, December 15 at the J.W. Marriott World Center in Orlando.   Wish me luck; I'll keep you all informed as to how I do.

Giftware and Paintings at Lake County Art Center:  Remember that I now have wall space for my canvas paintings and shelf space for my giftware items at the Lake County Art Center, 202 S. Hwy. 27 in Minneola.  Please stop in and see my paintings and check out all the other artists work, too.  If you are looking for a unique gift item, the Art Center is a great place to buy one.  By the way, everyone is invited to the Art Center on the first Friday of every month from 6:30 - 9:30.  There is an artists reception and they usually have food and music.  Come on down and meet the artists.

Remember you can now purchase the Face Painting Manual & a DVD online.

Where else can you earn $50 - $75 an hour and have fun doing it?  Become a Face Painter!  Birthday parties will earn you $150 - $175 for a 2 hour gig.  Since some of you want to learn this wonderful art form, but can't come to my seminars, I have put the Manual up for sale on my site.  You can now get the same manual that I use to teach my seminars.  You will have fun painting the faces shown in the manual and the thousands of others that are to be found by going to the sites mentioned in the Resources section.  You will also learn what to use for paint, tools, glitter and bling and where to buy them; practice strokes; the proper hygiene; how to set up your kit for a party or an event; how to start a Face Painting business; good books and videos; and many other tips and techniques, including many of the signs that I use.  Introductory price for this E-manual is $20.00.   Buy it with PayPal on my site or contact me to pay with either check or credit card.   www.picturetrail.com/butterflykissesstudio   I'll email it to you right away.

I'll soon be selling some Face Painting Videos and Books at a discount on my site, too.  Watch for this.   The Beginners Video that I sell on the site is absolutely fantastic for a new face painter.   I let the girls watch it during lunch at the seminar, and they all bought a copy..  Get it now for the discount price of $21.00 plus $5.00 S/H  by going to the Face Painting Album and paying with PayPal.

Things to do, Places to go:

Donna Dewberry will be on HSN on Saturday, November 3rd at 6:00 am.  If you are an early riser, be sure to watch her.  Also, there will be a Session III Training Camp in Sebring, FL on December 1st.  Cost of the Training Camp is $79.95 for all day, and you will paint 3 projects, including working with the new High Definition paints.  Check out OneStroke website if you are interested.  Sebring is about an hour and a half south of here, so we might be able to get a group together to drive down.  Let me know if you are interested in car pooling.

Interesting website to visit:

If you want to see some really interesting mural work, go to this site.  The mural is made up of many 1 foot squares, which are mini paintings, and when pieced together and viewed from afar, create a visual image.  NEAT.  http://www.muralmosaic.com/Cochrane.html
