About the Author: Brian is a New York-based writer/director known for both his fiction and indie films. His first novel A REALLY NICE PROM MESS (Simon & Schuster) recently won the 2005 Violet Quill Award. His second book TALE OF TWO SUMMERS (Simon & Schuster) is out now. As a filmmaker, he attended NYU where he created the short film series BOYS LIFE, featuring his film POOL DAYS, and since then has directed two features; I THINK I DO, a comedy starring Alexis Arquette that was hailed by the NY Times as "hysterically funny and very smart" and WTC VIEW, a post-9/11 story of an apartment hunt, now available on DVD.
