In a democratic society, all minority communities deserve to have their lives and heritages reflected the nation's school history books.  Women's history, African-American history, Hispanic history, Native American history, Jewish history, and the histories of the many waves of immigrants from countries around the world have all found their place in many of the nation's textbooks.
