Given his previous criticism of the inroads the barrier has made elsewhere in the West Bank, many people had expected Peretz to change the route and make it less invasive in this area. Marya’s mother, grandmother, uncle and six year old brother were killed. Marya’s father Hamdi is staying with her at the hospital since the day she was wounded and takes care of her with boundless devotion.
