Simple Steps To Good Nutrition

Though the importance of good nutrition has been elevated in
recent years, a vast number of people continue to neglect the
basic principles of a sound and healthy diet. What we eat and
how much plays a great role in determining our longetivity and
likelihood of developing life threatening illnesses such as cancer
and heart disease. More importantly, this is one facet
of the health equation that we are in control of and have the power
to change for the better. Just being conscious of important facets
of good nutrition are the first step toward a healthier and happier
life.
Good nutrition can be broken down into several simple guidelines
that most people neglect:
1. Eat a well balanced meal
2. Only eat during the normal times and avoid snacking
3. Take Vitamins and Minerals on a regular basis
4. Drink Water
5. Know what you are eating and make sure it is healthy
6. Monitor your weight and overall health and know that
when these two are out of line you need to adjust things

Healthy Protein Shake - Made At Home
Protein is a great hunger suppressor especially if your use to
night time eating habits. Try this special treat and help curb your hunger.
Strawberry Delight
8 frozen strawberries
5 ice cubes
4 Tbsp. Plain LowFat Yogurt
2 Tbsp. Protein powder (90% protein or more)
(I used Soya Pro)
1 cup skim milk (1% or 2 % is ok just not Whole Milk)
Put ingredients into blender and hold the chop button
till icecubes and frozen berries are shredded. Then click
mix/stir to make sure all ingredients are well blended.
Makes about 4 cups.
unused portions - put in a freezer safe container or
individual cups with lids to make for a nice "frozen yogurt"
treat another day.
It's yummy and can be used with different flavored berries.
About 78 calories per cup. 77% protein 22% Carbs 1% Fat
