How to Get Quality Traffic to Your Blog

When you are trying to make money from Internet Marketing by selling products on your site, you have to get a lot of traffic to your site. There are paid ways to get traffic and there are free ways to get traffic. Above all, you want well-targeted traffic with visitors that are interested in what you have to offer.

One of the best ways to get free traffic is by writing articles. Here’s how to get well-targeted traffic from writing your own articles:

First Step: Choose a keyword that would interest the visitors in your target market.

The first step to writing an article to reach your targeted niche market is to pick a keyword phrase to target. You want it to be a phrase that’s searched a lot, but not too competitive.  So you need to go to a free keyword tool such as Google’s Keyword Tool ( https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal ) on the Internet and type in a keyword phrase. This keyword tool should tell you how often that phrase is searched for and also tell you related keyword phrases and how often they are searched.

Second Step: Create your title with your targeted keyword in mind.

Take your keyword phrase and include that in the title of the article. For example, if you are writing an article in the weight loss niche, you might decide to target the phrase “start losing weight today”. So you might decide to title your article, “How to Start Losing Weight Today”.

Third Step: Create your article with a simple outline.

Next, you need to write the article on the topic you have chosen in your title. The best way to start is by creating a simple outline on the points you want to cover.  You will also want to include the keyword phrase once in the introduction paragraph, and perhaps once more in the conclusion. One way or another, you don’t want to include it too much.  This can be frowned upon and considered “keyword stuffing”.

Fourth Step: Focus on the purpose of each the part of your article.

While writing your article, use the introductory paragraph to tell your readers a brief overview of what you are going to discuss in your article.  Make it interesting and entice them to read more information. In the body of the article cover all the points you planned to cover according to your outline.  In the conclusion of your article, summarize your article with a brief overview of your article or choose some good final thoughts to leave with your readers.

Fifth Step: Submit your article to popular article directories.

After finishing your article, you need to submit your article to numerous article directories on the Internet. The most popular one is Ezinearticles.com. Cut and paste your article into the submission form and then put a call to action with a link to your site in your signature box. For example, you might write something like, “Want to start losing weight before you sleep tonight?  Just click here (insert link).”

Once you submit your article and it becomes live on the site, you can visit some popular social bookmarking sites and bookmark your article on all of them. This will help your article rank better with the search engines and it will also get you more traffic to your blog from each of the social bookmarking sites.
