For some of us who live in America, the current Child Health Care Bill from Congress to the US President and the President decision not to sign that into Law is interesting. Some experts on both sides of the political fence have their own reasons why the Bill should or should not be approved by the President. But the Bill seems to be a very good thing for children, and some media companies are reporting that the US People, by Poll, wanted to see it become Law. But whatever the true situation is, I believe many of us know that next year when it’s the Presidential Election year, this issue will most likely come up again and more prominently. Quote: Bush veto for child health bill

US President George W Bush has vetoed a bill to expand a children's healthcare insurance scheme, after it was passed with a large majority in the Senate.

Mr Bush argues it takes the programme beyond its original purpose of insuring children from low-income families.

The vetoed bill proposed higher tobacco taxes to provide an extra $35bn (?17bn) to insure some 10 million children.

Children's health insurance is set to be a campaign issue in next year's elections, analysts say.
