What Are You Reading?

As you know, I love to read. Nothing, to me, can ever compare to the feeling of opening a book and finding myself totally captured by it. I dream of books! My day is not complete until I finally am able to cuddle up with my books of the week.  That's right, "PLURAL"!

This week I am reading Tavis Smiley's autobiography, Drama is Her Middle Name, by Wendy Williams and Karen Hunter as well as Oprah's book about tracing your ancestors. So far they have both kept my attention.

What are you reading? I would like to know and I'm sure my readers would also like to know. Please feel free to email me with the Title, Author and tell me briefly what the book is about. You will be featured in the next newsletter.

Until then, please continue to read. This is high school ladies and gentlemen. Please read something that interests you. Most of all, read something that feeds your soul.

Here are three good books I highly recommend:

  1. Creative Visualization, by Shakti Gawain

  2. The Great Pretender, by Millenia Black

  3. Ask and it is Given, by Jerry and Ester Hicks

Woman's History Month

As with any "historical month", women's history month is, and rightfully should be, celebrated for 12 months, 365 days a year. Fortunately, during the merry month of March, we are given the opportunity to go above and beyond with our thanksgiving. I would like to take this time to show how much I appreciate all the women serving in the United States military.

Many women risk their lives on and off the battlefield daily.  Many are constantly uprooting themselves, sometimes with family members in tow; yet, many times without family members trailing along. It is at those unaccompanied times, mostly during combat, their lives become much more delicate and oh so much more essential.  A woman's thoughts during those trying times become thoughts of sustainability, capability and reliability. Thoughts of family are usually tucked away into the corners of their minds but at the same time, boiling over in the depths of their soul.  She knows she has to transition from friend, sister, wife, and/or mother, into the role of Soldier, Airman or Marine.

Thank you for all you do!

Blessings,

What to Do When Nothing's Happening

By Coach Jeanette (Good Vibe Coaching)

With lots of new deliberate creators on the scene now (thanks the Secret, Oprah, etc.), some are finding the Law of Attraction sounds good, but wonder why it doesn't seem to work for them.

After all, they're thinking about what they want, made their vision board, repeat their affirmations, and yet nothing happens.

Whereas some people pick the LOA stuff up easily to create quick success, others scratch their heads wondering what's gone wrong.

For those wondering why nothing's happening, or if you're just stuck in one particular area, here are a few tips:

  1. Stop wondering what you're doing wrong.  Don't ask why it's not working.  As you say that, you create that.  That question is why it's not working.  That's your manifesting in action! Can you see it? We're so powerful that we can create "not working" or "nothing happening" if we choose.  Choose something else, huh?

If You Want to Be Loved

If you want to be loved, then strive to love, to become loveable, and to show love as Soul.

Consider this excerpt from the prosperity classic, "Science of Winning Love" by Wallace Wattles.

"If you are to be loved you must win the affections of other people, and this you can do only by being something yourself.  If in your domestic relationships you are cross (angry),  cranky, ill-tempered and disagreeable you will have no right or reason to complain if our family does not love you as well as you would like to be loved.  It is not their fault.  If you want to be really loved, you must first stop seeking to be pitied."
