Hi Folks!
I Know it's been a minute and
I have so much news but not enough time to tell it ... LOL.
First of all I want to say thanks for all your support, via word of mouth Amazon purchases etc. However I could use a little help in the review department at Amazon, so please do take a moment to give your opinion. All I want is your honesty. If you liked it say so and why, if you didn't say so as well and why (but be nice ... LOL). My ego may not like it but the writer in me will love you for it.
Now, I did promise to share the experience of holding the completed version of my book in my hand. Now you'll except that I was moved, cried or it slept beside my head for a week. Would you believe it was anticlimactic?
I was like, that's nice and moved on to the business of shipping out to promised parties etc. I was like, what a gip! LOL
I know I owe some of you books and they are still forthcoming, I've just been a bit ... well, make that a lot overwhelmed, however I am beginning to see the light of day.
Amidst all this clamor, I have the temerity to attempt to once again participate in NaNoWriMo 2006. Although a part of me thought I was crazy, the other part of me marveled at the thought that this time two years ago, I felt incompetent to participate, this time a year ago I worked up enough courage to try it and made it and this year as I go for it again ... I look at the fact that because
I tried ... I now have a blook published and four more on the way, several newsletters and Web sites that draw a pretty decent following, I'm now a regular columnist at Blogging in Black and now I'm trying to branch out into the PR field so a sistah can continue to eat on a regular basis.
Here's to trying ... if I'd never stepped outside of my comfort zone, I'd never have realized what else I could accomplish.

Want to find out the Top 40 Web sites that support, promote and/or sell black books?
I
stumbled upon such a list created by AALBC.com dated as of March 29, 2006. I checked the Alexa.com ranking of one of my marketing Web sites and lo and behold its rank placed it in the ball park of some of the other great sites listed.
Curious ... I began checking all the other sites previously listed and some of them no longer had an Alexa ranking and other's ranking had dropped and new sites had popped up to take their places. I found so many sites, that the list grew and grew, till it became a Top 40 list. Please be patient, because of images, gidgets and gadgets, the page is a little slow to load but it will be worth the wait.
