A violent earthquake that cracked highways in Alaska set the sky shaking
as well as the land, an ESA-backed study has confirmed.
This fact could help improve earthquake detection techniques in areas
lacking
seismic networks, including the ocean floor.
A team from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris and the California
Institute of Technology has successfully used the Global Positioning System
(GPS) satellite constellation to map disturbances in the ionosphere following
last November's magnitude 7.9 earthquake in Denali, Alaska.
Their paper has been published in the scientific journal Geophysical
Research
Letters. The research itself was carried out in support of ESA's Space
Weather
Applications Pilot Project, aimed at developing operational monitoring
systems
for space conditions that can influence life here on Earth.

Catastrophic asteroid impacts are gaining a credible edge over violent
volcanic eruptions as the greatest killers Earth has ever seen, according
to two pieces of scientific detective work reported in tomorrow's issue
of the journal Science.
The first cataclysm in question occurred about 250 million years ago,
when according to the fossil record more than 90 percent of Earth's marine
species and 70 percent of life on land perished. The event is known as
the Permian-Triassic (P-T for short) mass extinction, named because it
falls on the boundary between the two geological eras.
The second event, known as the Cretaceous-Tertiary (K-T) mass extinction,
occurred about 65 million years ago, leading to the demise of the dinosaurs
and most of the creatures and plants that lived with them.

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, MA -- If you plan to orbit the Earth this week,
be sure
to pack plenty of sunscreen. Two whopping solar flares -- among recorded
history's worst 20 -- have blasted the Earth's protective magnetosphere
with
potent clouds of solar radiation and energized particles from the sun,
leaving
in their wake the potential for fried satellites and scrambled circuits
on the
ground. Not good news for electronically-dependant military and civilian
telecommunication operations.
Also known as coronal mass ejections, or CMEs, solar eruptions are incompletely
understood yet natural phenomena that occur periodically -- often in 11-year
cycles -- and with varying levels of intensity. They trigger geomagnetic
storms -- this week's first one rated at G5, the highest possible -- harmful
to spacecraft and communications, increase radiation exposure for astronauts
and high-flying aircraft, and damage ground-based power grids and subsystems.
Such storms have impaired U.S. communication satellites in the past and
blacked-out power stations in Canada. This week's solar assault forced some
air traffic controllers to alter aircraft flight plans due to disrupted
radio transmissions and crippled two Japanese satellites.

Greetings from Tokyo.
I read with great interest the predictions in the article (Catastrophic
Quakes May Soon Hit Japan) you posted and in fact have shared
them with audiences at my lectures recently. The weather here is indeed
weird-I got so hot in my kilt yesterday that it was quite uncomfortable
to walk. Japanese beer saved the evening.
I am writing to thank you for the great entertainment 'Godschild Covenant'
provided me. I never, never read novels these days since my research demands
far too much time on serious subjects.
I am currently co-translating the book 'Power
Vs Force' by Dr. David Hawkins as well as lecturing on the 'changes'
in consciousness that must happen if we are to survive. My new book, 'The
Solar Code' is coming along well and I see some spectacular surprises
coming from Sol in the next while. God help us this month is all I can
say.
I appreciate your stance on Nibiru, as it is well balanced. The information
at the end of Godschild brought me up to speed on your involvement with
the issue via the documentary you took part in.
I was interviewed for cable TV last night and made sure to mention the
Annunaki/DNA connection which I find very hard to refute. That will go
out to paying subscribers so they will be listening. Their last documentary
on this channel was on NDE's and featured aJapanese astronomer who has
already got two comets to his name-thus credible.
The man had a real bingo of a near death trip that involved crossing
the river to meet his dead relatives including a gorgeous looking woman
who he later found out matched his grandma in her thirties. But what made
his trip very unusual was that he was given a tour of history including
many sacred sites.
Apparently the word was that there is no information past 2012 in the
whole kaleidoscope of what he was shown. I have just read Jose Arguelles
new work entitled 'Time and the technosphere' and find that his grasp
of the 2012 issue is indeed profound. Anyway, I am on a nine year remaining
mission as far as my attitude goes.
You may be interested to know that my wife translated Indigo Children
into Japanese. Thanks for highlighting them in your book.
