Happy Halloween Everyone! Another rather quick HHOF email because I need to get Jakey ready for school! Here is a Halloween greeting from us!

Here is a spooky True ghost story to get you in the...SPIRIT!
(This is a true account
of something that happened to my best friend and co-worker, Debbie. It may not be as gruesome or fantastic as some you may receive, but you have my word it is 100% accurate. -t.g.moon) My best friend, Debbie O. had been married to JR for over 20 years. They attributed their long-time happiness to an ability to communicate and to trust one another, and each shared his ideas on everything with the other, including what would happen in the event of their death. A little over two years ago, after watching a movie about a restless soul trying to speak with his still-living with his wife after passing, the subject of after-death communication came up. Each promised the other that if they were to pass on, they would try to get through to the living and assure the other that their soul did, indeed, live on. Two weeks later, as Debbie was readying their granddaughter, Rachel, for bed, she heard a noise downstairs. She sped down to find JR had fallen from the sofa and laid unconscious on the floor. The paramedics
were called, but Debbie (a nurse's assistant) knew there was nothing to be done, for her husband was dead. The hospital confirmed the heart attack. Breaking the news to 5-year-old Rachel was especially hard, as she and "Pa" were very close. In fact it was Rachel who, when learning Debbie was going to the funeral home to "say goodbye to Pa", insisted that she bring along his orange Tennessee Vols hat, which JR always wore. It was a touching gesture, and Pa was buried with his beloved hat. A month later, as Rachel sat having a glass of milk at the kitchen table, something outside caught her eye. Debbie looked out the large bay window, but saw nothing unusual. Rachel, however, was fixated on whatever she'd seen, so Debbie asked, "Child, what is it?" "I thought I saw. . . something orange," the girl said. Debbie looked again and again saw nothing.
She was about to tell Rachel to finish her milk when the child ran excitedly to the window and said, "It's Pa, Granny it's PA!" Debbie followed the child's pointing finger and asked, "What are you seeing?" "It's
PA; don't you see him? He's sitting in the swing and he's smiling at us, Granny! And he's got white wings - HUGE wings! Where did he get wings like that?" Debbie was unnerved, of course, and told Rachel that was enough. She told her grandchild to go into the bedroom and dress for preschool. "But Granny, he's swinging on the big swing, making it rock like we used to!" Debbie firmly told the child to get dressed right away, and went over to close the window's blinds. She took another look outside just before pulling the string. Although there was no wind that morning, the large porch swing little Rachel's grandfather used to swing her on as a baby was suddenly swinging to and fro, and on the seat was a cap of unmistakable Tennessee orange. where to start with the mindless jabber today! Hmmm....first off Jakey has been sick this week. Last night he had a terrible cough and I really am not sure if I should send him to school today. Since he never went to preschool the little guy is getting slammed with school germs! I will just have to wait and see how he feels and what my gut tells me. We were going to go trick or treating with his cousins tonight but I don't want him in the rain
and cold that long so he will probably just pass out candy at Nana's house. Later today I will post a pic of Jake in his costume at our new message board. I started a post where you can share you photos of halloween with everyone! I can't wait to see the little ones dressed up! You can post your pics here if you like after you register.. On a different subject. Like I told you guys I am only doing my candles here in my home town
and some special requests but I am totally excited. I am getting a lot of my best oils back this week probably tomorrow! Hey I use them around the house too! LOL Wanna know a secret??? I bought the glade oil plug ins...took off the tops and I refill them with my strong oils! WORKS LIKE A CHARM...smells way better then glade and is cheap lol! I did the same thing with my car freshener! MMMM...mulled cider, pumpkin spice, jack frost, fresh apples is on the way! ALl I have left are drips lol! ( I AM ADDICTED TO SCENTED OILS!) You wouldnt believe how busy I am just making them for people around town! I
still need to get some painting done. I found the coolest old pc of barn wood and I want to do a folk art salt box house and angel on it! I got it all varnished I just need to sit down and get inspired lol! ~~~~~~PAIN~~~~~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Salem my new black kitty just climbed up my back... OUCH! She sure has sharp claws for such a tiny cat! ( see I still hop from subject to subject! Some things never change huh?) But you know what is changing? MY BODY LOL... <--OLD AS DIRT... What they say is true. The first 30 years are given to you and the next 30 you have
to work for! OH DEAR LORD YOU GUYS... because of the hysterctomy I had a few years back I was forced in to pre menapause... you know.. hot flashes.. feeling fuzzy... just yuck.. So they put me on hormones. ( blank look) Now I dont have hot flashes but I gained 5 lbs in one month and I am always sick to my stomach. AH OLD AGE! I have more grey hairs pokin out..the rest is falling out lol, a few more wrinkles and a new attitude on life. WHO CARES LOL As long as my family is safe and happy the rest is just a THANG you know? Things that used to upset me just don't anymore. TIME IS TOO SHORT! MY CLOCK IS TICKING! Soon I will need to make funeral arrangements and pick a cool casket!! PINK is my first choice and I want to be buried with my VW! hehe... Hmmmm, what else... My family is still insane! Never a normal day here..never lol. My almost 17 yr old daughter keeps me hoppin. She is gonna be a WENCH for HALLOWEEN ..lol. I love that
word and have no idea why.. WENCH! WOOOHAAAA! oh where was I? My oldest is STILL with his first love and they fight worse then me and Robb lol. Last time they were here they were fighting about how many minutes it takes to get here from their house. You should have heard them? Then the phone rings about 20 minutes after they leave. It is Casey telling me that he was right and timed the way home. OMG lol. Jake is still the light of my life. That boy is hilarious. I kid you not he should be a comic. The
things he comes up with. Like the other night...he had a bad dream so he hopped in bed with me and the hubby. He started singing some song he made up and then making rhymes up. Like... there once was a rat called ratatooeee... then came a cat called catatoooeee they needed to go poooeeeeeee... you kinda had to be there to appreciate this along with his song.. I'm trying to keep a straight face and be stearn about him going to sleep. Then out of nowhere he says... CAT GAS... cats have gas... OR DO
THEY?? Where did he come up with the OR DO THEY LOL Come to find out his inspiration for this was Salem... yah salem kitty farted. It was bad. Very bad lol So here I am in bed with...my husband, Jake, The gassy cat and scooby the wonder dog. Jake wouldnt settle, the cat wouldnt settle ..she kept attacking the dog. It was a long night. My husband slept through all of it. I finally got to sleep, woke up and there is Jake...sound asleep, the cat laying on my husbands stomach sound asleep..the dog on her back sound asleep and
me desperately looking for my slippers and in need of coffee. Yes the best part of waking up is foldgers in my cup! Then when I open my new can of coffee I cut the heck out of my finger. It was the new tin tops that are meant to open easily? BEWARE! I about sliced my finger off! Once again my coffee pot is on its last leg ... when it brews it sounds like 1000 ghosts moaning. Then I end up with tons of ground floaties... but in the morning when your body feels 90 years old..your eyes are half open and you really need to to wee wee but the bathroom is occupied..ya just suck up them floaties! Welp, I have bored you enough for today. I must take my leave and get ready school if Jake goes...Halloween and so on. Please be very safe tonight. Have a TERRIFYING TIME and I will post another letter very soon with haunts, rambles, goodies and surprises. ( We've been getting lots done on the website) Until later!!! HUGS AND MORE HUGS!
