"I Believe in you!"
A message of Hope...stories from the
road.

Hello, my Friend!
I'm moving! But I pray you are staying
here.
Over the last few years I have had a difficult time with
reaching you consistently.
I sent my stories and thought you were all getting
them.
You did. Sometimes.
In the beginning I used mailing services that didn't cost
me anything. I gained readers
but lost more.
I switched from one service to another and finally
found one that I felt would do the job.
The fact is, they did. But they, like others, had
trouble with getting the messages to you
every time. It wasn't their fault.
Creepy little, sly, underhanded, email-jamming slugs would
sneak into these services and spam the world. The result
was AOl and other internet
service providers, (ISP's) would block the entire mailing
service,
Bad guys and all.
I always took it personally. I worried that many of
my "friends I've never met" weren't
hearing from me. This may be hard to believe, but I
lost sleep over it.
Many would write to me worried that something was
wrong.
Many would write to find out what they might have done
wrong.
Many wrote to ask me to "please check my email
address."
I was spending too much time explaining.
The service I am using to send this very note to you has
been good. But, it's time for
me to step up a notch and pay even more to get my free
stories to you each week. The
bigger my list grows, the more it will cost
me.
No, I'm not asking for help.
But, I really need to take my mission more
seriously.
"I want to touch the world one person at a
time."
So, what does this mean for you?
Nothing. Except that I need for you to watch for
a special email that will come to you
during this next
week.
It will ask you to confirm that you want to continue being
one of my "friends I've never met."
It will ask you to click on a link to confirm that you
want to receive my stories at your email
address.
Please stay?
I will be sending two more messages reminding you to
watch for the "confirmation email."
If by chance you don't get it, I will instruct you to go
to a special sign up page on Friday.
I know the number of "friends" will drop off. Yes, I
will not sleep well for awhile.
But, I will also have new tools to reach new "friends" and
I will pray that the others will find me
once again.
In fact, many presently on this list who have not heard
from me in a long time, will suddenly
find me again.
I love when friends are reunited!
So, that's it for this message.
Watch for the email "confirmation" being sent next week
and click on the link in that message
to confirm.
I will eagerly watch for each of you.
The result should be, that we will get to "see" each other
more consistently.
I can't think of anything better than that. Two "old
friends" spending time together.
