"I Believe in You!" A message of Hope, stories from the road. By Bob Perks ************************************************* Hello, my friend! ? We are turning toward the sun, eyes wide open! ? It is a brighter
day in the Perks home.? Yesterday, my love looked for the first time at what has been created from pain, tears, anguish, fear and the result of cancer and the handiwork of a surgeon? supplied by God. ? She was happy. ? I sighed so deeply I believe you might have heard me wherever you are, my friend. ? Thanks for your continued support, spiritually, in friendship, prayer and financially. ? We move on from here in faith that God will show me the way to rise above it all. ? I am forever grateful to each of you. ? Love all ways and always, Marianne and Bob "I'll see you in my prayers" ? ************************************************* ? Perks Pearl of Wisdom ? By Bob Perks ? It doesn't take much for me to realize how very fortunate I am.? I sit here at my computer each day and write.? That in itself is a wonderful thing, me, my computer and 4700+ "friends I've never met." ? But in this effort to create something from nothing I have gained a wonderful perspective of what I call "the Big Plan." ? I can remember as a child always having a big plan.? You know, a way to make tons of money by selling lemonade,
then buying a new bike.? ? Of course? there was the plan to form a club "as big? as the whole wide world" and build a clubhouse to hold them all.? That was before the creation of the biggest snowman in the whole wide world. ? I finally gave up on big plans. ? As an adult I called them dreams. ? I am happy to say that along the way some of those dreams became reality. ? Today dreams still make my life worth living. ? I have finally come
to realize that big plans are still? real, too. ? There is indeed a system that works for you and I if only we learn to recognize it. ? Off to my? left is a window in my office that permits me to daydream whenever? I need to search for a story or a word I must have.? I can turn my chair, prop my feet up and watch the? big plan unfold. ? As I am writing this I can see two rabbits, no make that three, a few finches,? five sparrows and a very nervous blue jay all focused on? the bird feeder. ? Here's the big plan. ? I work
writing stories and speaking about life.? ? From that income I buy birdseed.? Each and every day, without fail, I fill the three feeders.? Two that permits the bigger birds to eat and one that is enclosed in a cage-like structure to allow only the tiny birds access. ? The big birds aggressively pick through the seed to find the sunflowers seeds, cracked corn, etc. that make up their diet.? The smaller birds pick through the seed to find their special food, like thistle.? Both groups scatter the seed as they eat and it? drops to the ground. ? The rabbits, morning doves, some cardinals, squirrels? and yes, deer feed off of the seed that has dropped there. ? Not
one single seed goes to waste. ? The great plan? ? Everything we need comes from the earth.? ? Everything. ? God,? in whatever form or name your faith accepts, created the earth. ? We come to God for all that we need.? All are provided for. ? God gives me a gift to write, to speak and uses me to work to buy the seed, to fill the feeders, so that the birds that feed can drop the seed for the rabbits, squirrels, and ground
feeding birds. ? I love it! ? If today you feel lacking anything, physically, spiritually, emotionally, ask God what it is you need and then expect it. ? But...there's always a "but."? God provides food for the tiniest bird.? He doesn't throw it in the nest.? He created it to fly, to go get what it needs. ? Imagine then, all that he created you to accomplish!? You are a part of the "Big Plan."? ? But He's not going to
throw it in? your nest. ? You must learn to fly! ? That, my dear friend, is "The Big Plan!" ? "I believe in You!" Bob Perks ? I encourage you to share my stories with your friends but, when copying I ask that you keep my name and contact information

I will use only first names and no email addresses. ? bob and Marianne, i was standing at the base of mt. mauna loa on the big island of hawaii one day with a 70-pound back pack feeling heavier by the moment when the los angeles sierra club came hiking past me.? the last member of the club gave me a friendly nudge on the arm as she passed.? she smiled at me and said, "yes, i'm 86, and YOU won't get to the top standing here thinking. MOVE!"? all these years later, i still remember the admonition, jerry, to accomplish anything in life, i must MOVE!? ? ? and so it will be with marianne's recovery.? she will have her "backpack" of life and yet, she WILL MOVE.? she is so loved and prayed for by so many of your friends/family that you simply have yet to meet.? ? ? never give up, god will supply all of your needs according to god's riches in heaven. the darkest hour is just before the dawn. hold on my brother and sister. papa and i are praying for you both. jerry and papa bob ? Dear Bob and Marianne, I just wanted to let Marianne know that things will get better.? So many of us are thinking about her and keeping both of you in our prayers.? ? God will get you through this time of depression and things will be even better after she recovers.? I'm pulling for her!!! ? Love to you both, Kas ? I am Praying for you Bob and your family.? I thank God for you and your writings.? Thanks I wish you enough, Donna ? From "down under": Bob, How blessed i feel to have helped you start to climb one of your many mountains, i cried when you referred to me as one of the Australian Angels. I am however no Angel, just a friend who feels your pain and holds out her hand to help you through. I believe that God puts us all in touch for that reason. What a wonderful world it would be if each one of us was able to help just one other person. You Bob, help many along your journey, you have been blessed with a truly awesome gift! Your friend,Marg Australia. Bob, You have made my day . . . to think that I have helped inspire the man that inspires me! I am humbled. Thank you my friend. Our love to you & Marianne. David & Faye Melbourne, Australia. ? Dear Bob & Marianne, ? I worry...but I want you to know that I have a calm feeling that you will both? get through this.? As my favorite cartoon artist would say,? "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." (Charles Schultz) ? Be still with nature and you will find strength, peace and healing through small blessings in your own backyard.? And most of all from each other, and those nearest and dearest to you. ? Sending prayers for "strength",
and a smile. Today and always,? ~Julie~ ? ************************************************** ? "I wish you enough!"
