"I Believe in You!"
A message of Hope, stories from the
road.
By Bob Perks
*************************************************
Hello, my friend!
I pray you are well!
A few weeks ago I shared with you our need to add a room
on our small home. I told you that God will help us to find a way. I
promised to share His plans with you.
We have discussed and prayed about this and believe it is
time to re-mortgage our home. God will bless this decision and make our
lives such that we will prosper enough to pay for it and more. Faith is a
powerful tool. It sometimes calls on you to take action and make things
happen when miracles are meant for greater needs in the world.
It is a long process with our Credit Union, but I know the
results will be blessed.
Sometimes you need to make miracles.
I will take pictures of it all when it is finished and
share it with you. Now that's faith!
Thanks to all who have been praying for "My Ministry
of the Heart."

Today's Message:
"Under a blanket of love"
by Bob Perks
Life lessons aren't always found in big challenges.
The things we need to learn are always right in front of us often in subtle,
almost hidden, moments.
Wisdom doesn't always come from the great books of
literature nor a man sitting high on a mountain top pondering the meaning of
life.
I believe the really great lessons are learned by watching
the world around us. The ebb and flow of oceans, the clouds and sun and
the animals, yes, the animals are all a part of the true meaning of
life.
Each night before I go to bed I sit at this computer
checking my messages. If inspired enough by something, I will stay
here until I write about it, make note of it or play it all out in my mind
to see if it's good enough to share with you.
Then, at just the right time, I head into my
bedroom. My wife has long since gone to bed. It is a pleasure these
days to walk into that room and see her at rest. Her days recently have
been very stressful and quite a challenge for her. It helps me
to sleep better knowing she is settled for the night.
Our two dogs, Ricky and Lucy, are permitted to share that
space until I come in. Ricky sleeps under the covers next to my wife and
Lucy, not wanting to miss the opportunity, crawls underneath, too. Ricky
will sleep under all the covers while Lucy prefers to sleep under the top cover
only.
It was because of her that I discovered a very powerful
lesson.
Every night when I walk in the room I will reach under the
covers and motion for both dogs to "go to bed." Each has their own
cushioned bed next to my side on the floor under the window.
Often times when I come in I will find Ricky in his own
bed sleeping soundly. Lucy always waits until the very last minute.
It is our time. It is our routine that both she and I wait for.
Perhaps even depend on each night.
As I approach my side of the bed, I can see Lucy's tail
wagging underneath the cover. It makes my heart skip a beat and I smile
with such joy. I lift the cover and she remains there until I pick her
up.
Warm and limp from rest, she lays her head on my shoulder
and I feel her warm furry body on my skin. I whisper, "You're a good
girl. Dad loves you." and I find myself rocking her like I did when my
boys where babes.
I realized last night that she can't see me approaching
the bed. Totally covered by the blanket, she has no idea that it's really
me.
But she trusts that it is. She knows that it
is. She knows from experience that I am always there even though she
cannot see me.
Oh yes, you see the truth here don't you?
I am a child of God. Even in the darkness under the
cover of the unknown, my faith tells me, that God is always there. Even
when I cannot see Him.
He lifts me up and holds me like a babe and whispers, "You
are a good man. Father loves you."
Then I sleep well..."under the blanket of
love."
Good night...sweet dreams...God loves you and so do
I!

RE: "I thought it was
luck"
Dearest Bob~
I started my morn' out on the arbor with a cuppa of steaming coffee in complete peace as a single hawk cried the morn' awake. Mist was rising over the greenways here in our little residential development. I am ending my day watching the full moon rise over the tree tops with a wonderful little glass of Merlot and my faithful old dogs laying by my feet. Gratitude? You bet. Did I always take that moment to recognize these blessings? Nope. Along my life's path, many folks have crossed it pointing me to the path of Simple Abundance. My dinner was a wonderful piece of bologna with spicy mustard. My hubby and I had been busy all day preparing our little Central Florida home for sale. As I stroked each coat of paint, I said "Thank YOU" to my Great Spirit for allowing us to live in this little abode. I surely shall miss it. Our new life's path will be busy, but abundantly simple. A man that says, "I believe in you" helped us along the way. Thank you...again! Love, light, and blessings~ Bama Mama T Bob, And you give us
the hope and courage to be kind and think of others. Sometimes in this old
world, there shines a beacon and we all come close to the light. My Dad is
like that, people are drawn to him. You are a beacon, too ...
thank you for being such a wonderful man. One day I am coming to meet you
and your remarkable wife.
All the best to you
both, I believe in you, too. God bless you, RoseMarie
Dearest Bob~ I think we ALL BELIEVE in YOU~ WE BELIEVE that you bring us wonderful thoughts, words, and inspiration~ WE thank you~ SHARON,JIM and SNOOPY GALSTER Evansville, Indiana **************************************************

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye." |
