"I Believe in You!"
A message of Hope, stories from the
road.
By Bob Perks
*************************************************
Hello, my friend!
Well, I listened to "that voice" and sent that message out
to you. The response was awesome! I have included more comments than
I usually do. Too many to include all of the them. Some expressed
personal struggles too private to share here. Say a prayer for them
all.
I am blessed beyond words to have you all there.
My story today is...well read it
and you'll understand.
Love always and all ways,
Bob and Marianne

Today's Message:
"Be the gift"
By Bob Perks
We get them everyday.
"This is being sent to you...you must send it on to as
many people...and one back to me..."
I never do.
I guess that means, I should be dead by now because
something good was supposed to happen "If" I sent it out. Something bad if
I didn't.
I still love God even though one message told me if I
didn't send it out I didn't believe in God. And on and on.
The other day I received one of those
messages from a friend. It was a story about a man who found
something marked "For a special occasion" in his wife's dresser drawer.
She died and never got to enjoy it. The point was...don't wait...make
every day a "special occasion."
I didn't send the message on or send it back
to my friend as directed. I thanked her in person for sending
it.
She's an incredible spirit. A real joy to share
ideas with. One of those people you can talk about life with and
you know she understands. Insightful, caring and so full of
life. A great, hard working mother and a loving wife. I wish I
could give her the world. She deserves it.
We talked about how important that was to make everyday
special. Then she told me a story that really hit home.
Someone she knew was putting together a gift basket of
sorts for a friend who was seriously ill. Every few days she'd add
something but hold onto it because it just wasn't right yet. She
wanted to make it very special so she kept on looking, kept on adding, kept on
waiting to give her the very best gift she could. She loved her that
much.
You know what I'm going to say. Yes, that person
died and never got to see the gifts.
It is a true story.
If you have anything to give, give it now. If you
have nothing to give, give yourself. If you can't be there, call. If
you can't call, send a card. If you can't send a card pray for
them.
But make it a point to "be the gift."
Today I am doing just that with you.
If you have been on this list for a year or more, I need
to thank you for something you did for me.
I cannot believe it, but one year ago this Saturday we
found out my wife Marianne had breast cancer.
One year.
On November 5th I wrote a message to you..."The most
difficult thing" and sent it out.
Over this past year you have held me in your arms,
permitted me to weep as I am doing right this moment as I write this and lifted
us up in prayer without ceasing.
You sent more than 1,200 cards gifts, notes, and
emails. You spread her story all over the world, person to person and
church to temple to mosque to simple prayer alone in the privacy of your
homes and for others compassionate concern.
To say thank you seems so insignificant. To tell you
I love you all falls short of how very much I value our
"friendship."
When I wrote that story, God whispered in your ear and you
responded.
You didn't wait to make it more, add a little, make it
perfect, you responded when He spoke...
"Be the gift."
From the deepest part of my soul...I humbly thank you
all!

RE: "What hour is it?"
Mr. Perks -
Thank you
for this. My brother-in-law's father was killed in a highway accident
yesterday. He was a truck driver, and we figure he was on his way home
when it happened. After reading your story just now, I feel that God was
there taking his hand.
Thank you, and may God Bless you. Debbie / OH Dear
Bob, Many
thanks for the above story. It reminded me that Jesus is always with me.
Yesterday I was doubting that. You
are prayed for today, Yours
With Love, Malcolm,
Adelaide,
Australia Thanks Bob, I've got goosebumps all over.
What a beautiful story to write and you should always go with those gut
instincts, huh.
Love and Hugs from

deep depression??¦.I call out to God and I know that He is there, but this ???thing???
over me just doesn??™t end. You have targeted what I most needed to hear??¦.He
is there. Always. May you continue to be
sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and write. Blessings??¦.and more
blessings unto you and yours.
L. V. Dear Bob,
Chills.....not cold ones, but completely warm ones. That is God. It never
fails to amaze me how he uses us as his messenger.
Thank you, for just simply being you Bob. What you do for me, through your words is truly appreciated.
Take care,
Kelly
dear bob and Marianne,
we survived mrs flintstone (hurricane wilma) with
only 2 dead hens when the chicken coop got upended. many many fruit trees
lost, but the house is fine as are papa bob, karino and myself. at 85 this
was papa's first hurricane. with the blessings of prayer and a nerve pill,
he slept through much of the storm. it was actually worse here at the
ranch than a year ago with charlie.
thankfully, i will have the chicken house repaired
and ready for the arrival of 200 new chicks in the morning. god is so good
to us. this morning as i was out feeding the chickens, i saw 4 gorgeous
red hatted sandhill cranes in the back yard munching on whatever it was. the
ranch remains a safe place for ALL who enter here..
love and hugs

Dear Bob,
I haven't written you in a long time, but I
read everything you send. I'm not always "touched" by your words, but when
I am, I send your writings to a special file, to my "Bob Perks Keepers."
This one is definitely a keeper; you touched me in a way I never expected.
I anticipate using this writing soon in a eulogy, but rest assured, when I do,
you will be credited. Thank you for sharing your special God given gift of
insightful writing. I am so appreciative. I pray for you and your Marianne
that God gives you the strength to endure all things, come what
may.
Connie
Bob, I pray for you my friend.
I never question the why's, I always assume God is working through me, and that is the very reason you sat down to write and send out your email. You were being led to the very people who will pray for your strength in dark times. God bless...you're in my prayers. Joni Just one word Bob......WOW!
Well, maybe more than one word......you know that
was written for "someone" who was online last night and needed to know just
that....just at the time you sent it. Maybe one of your newest
subscribers....but at any rate, someone who was searching for something. I
believe the message found it's destination.....He is a Lord of
Miracles!

Bob, Thank you so much for this story. My husband and I have been through some major stressors in the past year and though we know that God is with us, your story is a timely reminder of His constant care and attention. Our church has just started a study to show us that God really is close to us all the time. With your permission, I will pass along this story to our pastor and share it in our small group. Blessings. Tandy Bob.
This is a MASTERPIECE!

special but this one seemed to be the most special one. Any way It is one I
needed tonidht and you and your wife are always in my
Prayers.
Bob,
I know why you had to send this. It is not
for me but I sense there is someone out there just like the old man in your
story; someone who needs to be reminded of God's promise that He would never
leave nor forsake them. Thanks for listening to then nudge from
God!!!
Have a wonderful day
I Wish You Enough Bro Bill
Dearest Bob~With my hand over my chest pocket
that holds my beloved rosary, I offer up a silent prayer for the peace of his
mighty hands to raise your spirit up. We all have those dark moments,
Bob. Today, I felt a blow to my stomach when the slight thought of my
beloved sister being diagnosed with cancer. She is free of that diagnosis
at the time. Silly me...I was concerned about selling/leaving my little
home space...the thought of my sister battling this awful disease surely made
the other concern a waning pale light...Be well, my dear friend. Know
Jesus..know peace. Love, light, and blessings~Bama Mama T

God Bless YOU Dear Bob,
I did say a prayer for you and I know He is
standing behind you to hold you up should you fall. He has done the same for me
many many times.
Chris
Dear Bob,
I pray that you will find solace in Him
tonight. Your story reaches all of us who are struggling to know if
He is with us in our darkest hours and I pray for all of us who've read it and
you the writer, that we know, that we know, that we know HE will always be
there. I've been restless, wondering what my walk was with Him as of late,
and you've answered my heart's longing-He is there! and no matter what the
hour is, He's there. Thank you for being His writer.
I wish you enough!
