"I Believe in You!"
A message of Hope, stories from the
road.
By Bob Perks
*************************************************
Hello, my friend!
In recent days I have been sadly discovering more
and more of my stories edited
in such ways as to completely change the original
intent and with no mention
at all of my name.
I always give permission to share my stories, but
without editing and with my name intact.
I work very hard to give freely of myself and ask
for nothing in return but respect for that work.
Make it a great week!
Love Bob and Marianne.

Today's Message:
"To be remembered"
By Bob Perks
It was just what I needed to hear at just the right
time.
I was surprised and pleased.
I was lifted up and inspired to do more, be more and
perhaps even expect more from life.
I had no idea that anyone would even notice and yet, she
did. A perfect stranger opened my eyes, touched my heart and gave me a
gift.
"Aren't you Bob?" she asked.
"Yes, I'm Bob Perks," I replied and reached out my hand
to touch hers.
"I see you on television, don't I?"
"Yes, periodically."
"I knew it was you. I was telling my friend as we
walked by. I just knew it was you because of your smile. You always
smile. Every time I see you, you're always smiling."
My heart started pounding.
My eyes opened wide.
This perfect stranger touched me deep inside.
It wasn't my ego or needing to boast.
She did something wonderful that I needed most.
She said, "I have noticed that you always
smile.
I love that about you, I have for awhile.
It is such a pleasure to see someone kind.
When I think of happy I have you in mind.
Forgive me for asking, I am sure that it's true,
"You do know that God is smiling down on
you?"
Perhaps that explains it, my smiling you see.
It is a reflection of God's love for me.
So, now I must ask you how do you want to be
remembered?
To be remembered kindly...do something
for someone who needs a gentle touch.
To be remembered as honest...live with such integrity that
no one would ever question your intentions.
To be remembered as generous...be giving to
all.
To be remembered as compassionate...don't just say you
care, show it.
To be remembered as giving...give before you know there is
a need.
To be remembered as a "person of faith"...be faithful in
all your actions.
To be remembered as a good worker...remove from your
vocabulary the words, "It's not my job."
To be remembered as a good parent...teach by
example.
To be remembered as a good spouse...be a good listener,
express love, be faithful and forgiving.
To be remembered as a friend...be trustworthy, honest,
open and genuine.
To be remembered at all...live fully, love all
and smile often.

RE: "No more miracles"
Dear Bob,
I just read your "No More Miracles for
George". I write this to you through my tears, as I remember a man
who was a part of my life for longer than George and Wanda were together.
You see, I knew George before Wanda did, and in fact, was somewhat instrumental
in their meeting. I was dating a friend of George's, when I was fifteen
years old, and the three of us would run around together. George was
always a good friend and brother to me and we always had a
wonderfully close relationship. There isn't a day that passes that I
don't think of and miss him. I was with him that last night he spent in
his earthly body. I remember that night with much pain, but I look back to
the forty-odd years we shared and the good times we had and think of him as
he was before the cancer and the stroke.
We both knew we could count on each other at any
time...and Wanda knew this as well. I was blessed to have my sister have
such a wonderful relationship with this man called George.
I am, Shirley Young, Wanda's older sister.
Thank you for the beautiful thoughts you've shared.
Bob, My husband John
was diagnosed with cancer Dec. 26, 2000 and went to be with his Maker on Feb.
26, 2001. He seemingly didn't suffer, at least from pain, during the few weeks
he lived following diagnosis. He was ready for death, but the pain of his loss
has never left me. Thank you for George's story today. The tears it brought
forth were cleansing.
Freda Dear Bob, I have been reading from you for a long time. Time and time again, the messages just speak to me in ways I sometimes cannot comprehend!! May the good Lord bless you work, family and relationship with Him as you encourage and warn us as we walk on this earth. I have just read about no more miracles for George, my heart goes out to Him. May the Lords will be done, The Lord bless, Bob, You keep
making me cry, love to both of you, and praise to Our Father God!
Joyce
Hello Bob:
No more miracles...I just cried and
cried.....but George has reached his miracle now.....He is away from pain and
would not wish to come back......
I will pray for his family and you and
yours,
Blessings Bernice RE: "You just
shouldn't mess with time"
Hi Bob!!
Don't you think there is something Wrong!! with
jumping from Halloween to Christmas!! What about Thanksgiving!! Why do people
Forget to be Thankful for all the good things in their(and my) lives!! Just had
to put my 2 cents in!!!
Thanks & God Bless!!
Joyce
Dear Friend: Wow! You described how I felt to the "T"! I am
still trying to find the hour I "gained"! I am sure God must look down on
us and smile often at us humans, whom He created! He has to have a sense
of humor! Time to Him means nothing or a lot.....He decides, not us!
But I had to laugh at your experience.....thanks for bringing a laugh and smile
to my day. If you find your "hour" please let all your friends know!! Take
care, my friend, and my prayers are with you and your Marianne.
I believe in you. Love, Jan McAninch, Ohio Bob,
I found this story quite amusing. Thanks for the laugh!!
Isn't funny how our mind plays tricks on us?
Hope you and Marianne are enjoying your evening, and, that she is feeling
better!
Love all ways always,
Gail

Bob,
i totally know what you mean. it gets so confusing
when the clocks change. i always feel sorry for our dog. she gets really confused when we change the clocks. and no wonder. Eleanor Bob, I sat smiling as i read your words today. Here in Queensland Australia, we don't change our clocks. We had a trial of daylight saving many years ago, but it was decided not to make it permanent. The trial was when i was still married to a dairy farmer, and let me tell you it caused all sorts of problems. The cows do what they want when they want, they didn't care that humans were trying to squeeze more time into their day. Isn't it strange, that what God created, man is always trying to change, or better in some people's view, in some way. No we shouldn't mess with time!!! Marg, Australia. **************************************************
