blowing all your money at regular retailers
we get what's "Leftover" See the theme here

left before our store
event ends. December 15th.
Your entire purchase gets an additional 10 % off
with a minimum $10 purchase.

coupon code at checkout. Many items
already further reduced.
Here is my last ditch offer...starting today...get a

Today's Message:
"Leftovers"
By Bob Perks
There were times in my life when I thought I wasn't
getting a fair shake. It appeared
to me that everyone else always seemed to get ahead of
me. They always seemed
to know more than I and got to the golden opportunities
before I did.
"It just isn't fair," I thought.
I was making excuses. I was trying to justify my
failed attempts and make me look
like a poor soul who just couldn't get a
break.
I had what is call a "loser's limp."
A "loser's limp" comes about when a player falls down,
trips or simply makes a
mistake and doesn't want to admit to it. As they get
up, they walk away limping
for no real apparent reason. It's for
sympathy. They limp because they want you
to feel sorry for them rather than see them at
fault.
"I get the bottom of the barrel."
"I get leftovers."
Then one day I realized that I didn't appreciate what I
had. I didn't know the true
value of all that I possessed.
Having dinner yesterday reminded me of that
moment.
We had a grand Thanksgiving day dinner with all the
special trimmings. All that
I wanted and more. But to tell you the truth what I
really look forward to are the
leftovers. I love sneaking to the kitchen later for
one more slice of turkey. I love
the next day having more of what we had at the big
feast. For some odd reason,
it always tastes better.
It got me thinking about all the things I really enjoy the
second time around.
Cold pizza. The last scoop of Ice cream. Chili
two days later, giving it more
time to develop its flavor. Pork roast now made into
sandwiches. Roast beef
for lunch the next day. Mashed potatoes from
yesterday now fried as patties.
Spaghetti warmed up as a side dish. The last
chocolate covered cherry found
in the corner of the box among the empty papers.
Soup made from all the
vegetables we couldn't finish during the week.
Lucy, our S.P.C.A. puppy someone didn't want. Ricky, the runt in the litter no
one else wanted. Puddles left
behind after the big storm. Second chances in
life.
Second chances in marriage and friendship. Old toys
another child finds joy in. Old clothes
brand new to someone who needs them. Old
stories my father repeated over
and over again. The cardigan sweater he always
wore. Old jokes you laugh at
to be polite. Old anything.
Memories of loved ones now gone.
There is great value in "leftovers" after all.
Perhaps even greater than being first,
having it first or finishing first. Everyone
finishing second and beyond meant they never
gave up.
I'd rather have what no one wants and appreciate it
more. I'd rather finish at the end
than never to have tried at all.
In using all that we are given we show gratitude
to God for the abundance in life.
Waste not, want not.
The last shall be first.
I'm going downstairs now, for a turkey sandwich
leftover from Thursday and I'll play with my dogs.

RE: "52 Times"
Bob,
Yesterday I sent flowers to an internet friend who lost her husband in February. That's how I met her. I read her note on a
website and responded to her with 'grief material'.
I didn't really have finances, but 'His still small
voice' kept nudging me. Her birthday is the 24th...
Thanksgiving Day...and her husbands the 29th (I
asked for a red rose in the arrangement). She
doesn't feel like she has much to be thankful
for.. She will see the sun shine again, IN HER TIME.
For about $52 she saw a few rays...a reminder of
it's warmth...I pray God's warmth.
As I recall, it was about this time last year Marianne, and you, were challenged with her being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I went
yesterday and bought stamps I'll use for Christmas...the ones
with a 'pink ribbon'. I thought about you
both as the Postmaster asked me if I was a survivor.
"No, but I know many people who are"; my answer".
Thanks for all you do to encourage many with your uplifting messages. God Bless and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Marianne, Jo Ann S. Dear Bob
Because you write from God's heart the message
is always powerful.
God's goodness radiates from who you are, to the
world, through your words.
"But God told me to give you this". In obedience to
His word this lady has been blessed
abundantly, more than she could ever ask for or
imagine.
In receiving this gift of money you have been
inspired to send this message around the world
again and to touch many more lives.
You can admit to finding it difficult to
receive His gifts, whether it is money, kind words,
generous praise. (it takes great courage to do
this).
In turn I can pray for you that all
kind words and generous praise can be accepted, to give
GLORY to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to
give joy to His faithful servant Bob Perks.
Nothing is taken away and much is gained in
receiving God's blessings.
I believe in you

Beautiful message, Bob, we all need to give
more, instead of just taking. It's Christmas,
find a family that can't have one and give
them one. Love ya. Betty
Bob, What a great idea! I am a widow on a low income, buy it's more than I need, so I will try to do what you suggested. I guess maybe I knew your idea
before I received it.
I went to two church services Sunday and heard about two different needs. At each service, I was prompted to write a check because I
knew I was going to have Thanksgiving with relatives
so I didn't have to buy groceries. God is so
generous, we should be, too. My love & prayers to all the Perks--another cancer survivor--Linda Dearest Bob and Marianne~
At first, I thought you were referring to what we do in daily life to
provide a living for oneself.
I was immediately intrigued by the number as it represents my birth
year.
Yesterday, I joyfully sent out to a little church that I have never had the
blessing to visit YET my
last few dollars. Joyful is the key word. A bit of the widow's
mite story; although I am not a widow.
I expected a miracle. It quietly came as my Great Spirit gave me even
more grace to accept a life
challenge this morning. It came again when I disagreed in my
heart a comment made. More grace.
No screaming. No crying. Just the will to be stronger,
kinder, gentler. Amazin'...Grace...
May you and your precious family enjoy the gratitude of this season of
abundance with Love, light,
and blessings!
