"I Believe in You!"
A message of Hope, stories from the road.
By Bob Perks

Hello, my friend!
A special "Hello" to an old friend...Diane.  You are in my prayers.

It feels so good to get back on schedule.  I grow weary when I am not writing.
All this "stuff" clogs my brains and needs to be put to paper.

I enjoy it even more knowing I am writing for you.

Make a happy ending to this week.  I love happy endings.

Today's Message:
"The Present"
By Bob Perks

"I want to know the future," she said.

She had decisions to make that may very well change her life.
It seemed reasonable enough. I mean wouldn't it be great if you could
see the future based on possible choices?  Like a touch screen computer.
You type in a situation and based on your life, a selection would appear
on the screen.  Touch "A" and it would tell you the outcome.
Touch "B" and the results would appear before you.  I bet we'd certainly
have exciting lives.

Or would we?

Frankly, I just wouldn't want to know.  How exciting
would my life be if I knew exactly what was going to happen?  There would be no
reason or wonder.  Upon arising each morning the day would be planned
perfectly with no unexpected turns or surprising outcomes.

Now some of you might think that would be great.  But remember, there would be times
when a situation would arise and none of the choices would be good.  None of the choices
would be the outcome you would really want and you would be forced to choose anyway.

"Right now as we speak, your answer is unfolding.  Every step you take or every choice
you make or refuse to make is causing the future, your future to align perfectly.  You are creating the
answer even as you lose sleep over it," I told her.  "Then, in a few months, you will know.
You'll look back and think, "Why did I worry so much?"

I thought about it after I left.  I was driving home and I could not get it out of my mind.  That
is until I heard from the "Voice" within I often write about:

"You can predict the future by appreciating the present you give yourself."

How odd.  What "present" do I give myself?

Then it hit me.  The "present."  Now.  It all depends on how much I appreciate the present,
the here and now.  My future is determined by how much I value the present.

That's it!

It brought back the old quote I would share with my audiences.

"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift.  That's why we call it..."The Present."

"You can predict the future by appreciating the present you give yourself."

What you do now, how you see yourself this moment, what you do with your time, will determine
what time will give in return.

Time is God's gift to you.  What you do with it is your gift to God.

There's no better time than..."The present."
"I believe in You!"

Much love, light, and blessings~Mama T
Bob Thank you for reminding us to look at the bright side or the glass being half full;
all to many times we think about the glass being half empty when we should always
be thankful and feel Blessed for even the smallest things.     Wendy

WoW!  This is so true, Bob.  You sure said a mouthful this time.  I never thought
of it that way before.  You are so smart!  Love ya much.  Betty

Hi Bob.
I just read today's newsletter and have to say it hit so close to home it was kinda funny.
My Hubby and I always seem to constantly have things going awry for us financially and
at the same time we have that wonderful synchronicity of good and bad happening within
a short periods of one another. I can not begin to tell you how many times we have gotten
a fat tax return or an unexpected check in the mail and shortly afterwards really needed
the money for something serious, such as dire car repairs. Without that money we would
have been up the creek without a paddle more times than I care to think about. My Hubby
has said how he just can't help but see the way the two always seem to work in conjunction
with one another, one bad thing one good thing, almost every time. Hidden blessings I call them!
Hugs, Michelle

Bob, I was just bemoaning the fact that my printer is in the shop and I need to get my
assignment in to Long Ridge and blah, blah when I read your message and remembered
that I should be glad the printer had a problem now while it's still under warranty instead
of July when cash would need to be exchanged. May smiles always light your path  Alice

BOB,
THE STORY YOU WROTE TODAY ABOUT BALANCING THE EXTREMES,
YOU KNOW THAT IS JUST WAY LIFE IS ABOUT THE HIGHS AND THE LOWS AND YOU
KNOW GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIES WAYS RIGHT WHEN YOU DO NOT HAVE THE
MONEY FOR THINGS GOD HAS IT UNDER CONTROL BEFORE WE ASK BECAUSE HE
KNOWS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN BEFORE WE DO. HE JUST WANTS US TO ASK
AND USE OUR FAITH. I KNOW RIGHT NOW I NEED NEW MUFFLER ON MY CAR AND
I KEEP ON PRAYING GOD HOW AM I GOING TO GET ONE WELL I KNOW HE WILL
MAKE AWAY FOR ME IN HIS TIME AND NOT MINE. I KNOW HE WILL ANSWER WHEN
HE IS READY. SO I WILL DRIVE A CAR THAT MAKES a lot OF NOISE UNTIL GOD GETS
THINGS BALANCE OUT FOR ME.
I AM GLAD YOU JUST ABOUT GOT YOUR ABOUT DONE.
THANKS BOB.
LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE AND I WILL BE PRAYING FOR YOU BOTH.
LOVE MAUDIE

Dear Bob,

"Balancing the Extremes" resonates with my life experiences.  Thank you for sharing this
inspiration and wisdom with us.  My youngest adult son has autism.  It is an extremely
challenging disorder.  Having said that, God always provides what is needed.  Many times
what is needed comes in the form of a story by a fellow names Bob Perks.  Look in the mirror
and tell him thank you for me.  I think you will like the kind person you see.

Bob,

I don't know how you do it friend... I really don't.  It seems so many of your messages are tailored
just for me!  We are in the process of finalizing our taxes & we usually get a little something back
from them.  My wife & I were discussing this just last night... as it turns out... my car needs tires &
a break job, our dish washer needs to be replaced, and we are expecting our 4th child in late August...
we were just discussing how nice it would be if we could just blow the money on something totally frivolous for a change!

But thank God the money is coming because otherwise we would be hard pressed to plan for
all these things!  My wife receives your e-mails too so I am sure we will discuss this blessing in
detail later this evening.  God Bless you & Marianne!

wow, how did you know.  that's my life exactly.  but you are right, i was always grateful to the
Lord above, that i had the money when something bad would go wrong.  He always provided.
i didn't have to borrow, or take away from our regular money.  He was always there at the right
time with the extra? funds.  and yes, we are very grateful.  thanks for a great story.  Diane

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye."
