Today's Message:
"Always here, but never been
before!"
By Bob Perks "You have arrived!" he said.
"What? Excuse me, what did you say?" the man
asked.
"You made it! You have arrived!" he
repeated.
"I guess I did," the man replied. "I guess I did!"
he shouted.
They were celebrating some accomplishment. I am
guessing a big sale of some sort.
Perhaps he reached a goal or closed a deal.
They were very excited.
I love "excited." I love to watch people
celebrate. I connect with moments
in other people's lives when they
are overwhelmed with joy. So much so that
I often find myself clapping along
with them and they don't even know me.
I rejoice in their happiness and in doing so I am happy,
too.
I sing a song, "This is the moment" from the Broadway
show, Jekyll and Hyde.
I love the feeling at the very end that has me standing on
a chair or table in the
meeting room reaching for the stars.
Oh, just writing about it makes my heart
pound.
Do I know that kind of joy?
Have I had those moments?
Yes.
When things get down and challenging for me. I close
my eyes and see myself there
again. I re-create the feeling and draw upon the joy
I experienced then so as to pick
myself up in the spirit of remembering and the reality of
"it will happen again."
What of the other dreams in my life I want to see
fulfilled?
I can honestly say I am "Always here, but never been
before!"
What does that mean?
To dream so perfectly clear that, in this subset of
reality you are there at that
point of success and happiness feeling the joy of it all,
but in the clearer vision of those
who cannot see in dreams, "I have never been
before."
It is the dream that lives in my heart, that runs in my
veins, that dances in my soul and
when asleep, takes me there in a virtual reality so real I
can hardly tell the difference.
That is the dream that holds my head above water when I
feel I am drowning. That is
the goal that makes be rise again after a
fall.
So true, so real, that when it finally comes about, I will
feel like I have been there all along.
"Always here, but never been before!"
Those are the meant-to-be dreams that God has chosen for me.
You have them, too. Perhaps you've forgotten.
Get up! Get on with dreaming out loud and go there again on purpose,
and with purpose, and I will
see you there...
"Always here, but never been before!"
"I believe in You!"

RE: "If you want to..." and my new audio on
Bob,
I forwarded "If you want to..." to my mother.
My dad died last month.
I want to be able to do all these things for her,
because I want to.
Thanks for your stories. Lynn Bob,
I think of your messages which each accomplishment
this year.
You said that this is my year of firsts since my
husband died.
I was telling someone that it's better for people
to say they are
glad to see me rather than the "I'm so
sorry". Of course, caring
people are sorry, but it really sets up a negative
conversation.
Saying you are glad to see someone who has had a
loss whether
it's a death in the family or serious illness, job
loss, is very comforting.
A squeeze of the hand, a pat on the shoulder or a
smile is a great gift.
Wishing you a very blessed
holiday. Bob,
I really enjoyed the audio post- what a terrific idea. Your writing is wonderful, but there's something so personal about hearing a "real" voice. It IS a pick me up. Thanks for sharing yet another part of yourself with all of us. Kate Loved your blog. Now I know what you sound like. I
am glad to
be counted as one of your friends and I count you as one of
mine.
I wish you enough.
God bless
Sue
Bob, I'm so totally excited (and wanted to say so.... so here
I am saying!)
that you've got your own Blog! Yea! Now we can see face and
hear your
voice... and get more of your message via its various colors.
I believe in you
back! And believe in all the wisdom you share and the thoughts
that you give
us to ponder on... til it's made it in deep enough to MOVE us
to do something!
Be different/Be kinder/Be more observant/Be more caring/Be
some thing!...
and to be about our Father's business! Kudos to ya! sharon
Bob,
I think this is a wonderful idea, I love hearing you speak,
just as I have enjoyed
your stories for so long..this brings you to a bit more
personal level and I love it...Anita
Hi Bob,
This wonderful,I wish you enough, and truly believe in your mission. Thank You Kindly Hi Bob... I love your new idea. Now we can read you and hear you. As Martha Stewart says..."It's a good thing". Keep up
your good works.
God Bless, Mary J
Bob,
Hello... today's message reminds me that sometimes our friends/loved ones need someone to simply be there. Not to interject our
opinions or preach to them
about what we think they are doing wrong. Sometimes just
to listen & offer our
support without words or judgements. Thanks as always
for sharing your thoughts...
always insightful & up lifting even if they do cause us
pause to re-evaluate how we
"help" others.
On a personal note I checked out your blog & I have to say that this is exciting. In my line of work I talk to people more on the telephone
& e-mail than I do
sometimes in person. So it is very exciting for me to
put a voice to the words &
of course your blog & your belief net postings have your
picture so now we know
look, words & voice. Very exciting & I will be
checking back there often for the Pearls :)
Thanks & God Bless! Rick San Angelo, TX **************************************************
