Hello, my friend!
A Good day, my good friend, for good things to
happen. Be ready, be expecting, then
go make them happen.
I'm not sure if you've had a chance to listen to my one
minute audio messages. If not,
http://www.bobperks.blogspot.com/ is
where you'll find them. I hope they add to your day.
I love doing them. It makes me feel like I am
having a conversation with ..."my friends I've never met."
Love always and all ways!

Today's Message:
"Where are you now?"
by Bob Perks
"So, where are you now?" he asked.
It caught me off guard. I hesitated for a moment
trying to find an answer.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"Yes, where are you now?" he repeated. "I've
known you a long time.
You were always going somewhere, planning something, never
sitting
still."
How odd. I couldn't for the life of me come up with
an answer. I think it was because
I never thought of myself that way. For whatever
reason, he got the impression that I
was a man on the move. I wondered if he saw that as
a good thing or was he taunting me
with the idea that he thought I haven't gotten
anywhere.
"Well, right now I'm here speaking with you," I
said. "Where do you think I should be?"
He laughed and said, "Bob, I always felt that you were
going places in life. I knew from
the day we met that you wanted to be someone, you needed
to create a life that took
you places."
I thought for a moment, shook my head and said, "I've been
places and did things, but I
never really left home."
"Maybe home never really left you!" he said.
We talked for awhile and said our goodbyes. The
idea stayed with me the rest of the day. In fact,
I've been thinking about it for days now.
So, I sat down, pencil in hand, ready to take
notes, and I asked myself...
"Where are you now?"
Here is what I found...
I guess I am where I want to be. I took some chances, chased some dreams
and they always brought me home. I still have plans
and things to do, but still,
I will return again. I've gone full
circle several times, I've crossed some roads and crossed
again and got lost along the way. I
traveled here and landed there and planned to stay
awhile. But, it always seemed that where I was, was
never were I planned. If it was
I guess I found that it wasn't all I
thought it would be. So, off I was
again. Just walking,
running sometimes away from or on the way to something or
someone and arriving
exhausted and confused. There were times when I
stood in awe of the wonder of it all,
unwilling to believe I deserved to be there. There
were moments when I fought to awaken from
what I thought was just a bad dream. It was reality
at its worst. I guess if I were to map it all out
there would be no rhyme or reason to the path I
took. I would most likely laugh at my own
stupidity. In recent years I've come to believe that
God had a plan for me. If God was indeed
my co-pilot on this journey, He either fell asleep in the
passenger seat or gave up trying to
guide me. He knew I'd arrive here safe and sound to
do what He really wanted me to do all along.
So, here I am right where I want to be...for now. I
think I see God with a road map in His hand
getting ready for the next trip. But, please
God...not my final journey yet. I have a lot of mileage left
on this 1950 model.
So, "Where are you now?"
"I believe in You!"
