"I Believe in You!"
A message of Hope, stories from the road.
By Bob Perks

Hello, my friend!

A good Monday morning to you!   Welcome to my new "friends I've never met."

And to those of you who have helped us...I humbly thank each of you!
Since first offering a chance more than a year ago for you to help us financially and  "touch the world...one person at a time," there have been about a dozen people who made donations to us.    A few repeatedly.

I am grateful beyond words.  It was because of you I was able to expand my mission and begin offering audio inspirational messages.  I purchase time and add new messages up to three times a week...I maintain my website and send my stories...with your help.

If you haven't visited my "blog", please do so.  By clicking on the small envelope you can also send an email to friends and share any message you think might be helpful for them.

That also helps us in a big way.  More and more people have begun signing up to receive my free messages.

To listen to my brief audio messages go to
http://www.bobperks.blogspot.com/

Save the link and visit often...I'd be honored.

Our very best to you,
Bob and Marianne

Today's Message:
"It seems so far!"
By Bob Perks

"Peter  says...."It seems so far!"

Mrs. Beaver replies..."It's the world dear, did you expect it to be small?"
I said to him.  "A quote from the movie, "Chronicles of Narnia," and enough
to stir my mind for days now."

Apparently unimpressed, he looks at me waiting for more.

"The young man is standing on one side of a great valley.  His destination
can be seen far off in the distance.  His immediate reaction was to see it as
almost unattainable," I continued.

My friend was talking about a challenge he is facing.  It was all perfect
timing for me. We had just spent the evening before watching that movie
with my son and his wife.   Yes, the special effects were wonderful, the
story line interesting, but there was only one thing I walked away with that evening.

Peter  says...."It seems so far"

Mrs. Beaver replies..."It's the world dear, did you expect it to be small?"

Putting it into perspective with those words, "It is the world, dear.  Did you
expect it to be small?" slammed me like a freight train.

How many times have I stood on the edge of a dream or a big challenge
seeing it off in a distance and without ever trying, found it to be so far away
that it appeared impossible?

Can you even imagine having a dream you can see and declaring it impossible?

What then, would I do with dreams  I could not see but for the images in my mind?

"Don't declare the defeat in the battle for your dream before you even begin
your journey!" I said to him.

We all do it.  Seen or unseen be tend to find all the reasons why it won't work
before ever seeing the possibilities.  Dreams, opportunities, even fears, health
and financial issues have us running in the opposite direction.

Those words worked perfectly for me.  My dreams, my hopes and plans are
"The whole world."  If they are really true dreams filled with great accomplishments
they are big.  Bigger than we can ever imagine.

Then why do we approach them and "expect it to be small?"

If they are God's plans for you, you can't even begin to imagine the size or
impact they will have on the world.

Even the simplest thing to be accomplished in life is a part of a much bigger
plan.  Our seemingly insignificant role is as intricate as the keystone in a arch.
Without it there would be no bridge, or entry way.  You are the keystone in the plan.
The peace that needs to be in place so that the dream unfolds for others.

We come face to face with the reality of such a dream often hopelessly
unaware of its size.

"...did you expect it to be small?"

So, walk to the edge of your dream today.  Face your fear head on.  Look out across the
valley of doubt and see it off in the distance.

You say..."It seems so far"

God replies..."It's the world dear, did you expect it to be small?"
Then journey on!

"I believe in You!"

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Goodbye."
