Subscription and Archives at: http://archives.zinester.com/4158 wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Greetings Fellow Bush Supporters! After nearly four years of non-stop rhetorical attacks on the President the Kerry-Edwards campaign is trying to convince the people that they are shocked, simply shocked at the 'despicable' ads that the Bush-Cheney campaign is using to illustrate Senator Kerry's inability to be consistent on any given issue, his 20 year record in the Senate that is absent any significant accomplishment, or even Kerry's failure to show up in the Senate for important votes that he has described as being close to his heart. All we can say is that the Democrats have consistently taken the low road in unfairly attacking or undermining George Bush from the very beginning of his presidency through the primary campaign and then during this last week's 's flim-flam show. There is so much in the Democrat Convention that we could laugh at and/or get steamed at. The airwaves and the commentary is full of how disingenuous and misleading that the Democrats have been, so we will leave in-depth and point-by-point rebuttal to the others. In general, Kerry's program is "We can do better" and if there is anything that troubles you in your life, from a dead-end job to an inability to pay your bills, or you have any illness of any kind, from Aids to diabetes, it is George Bush's fault and Senator Kerry is reporting for duty, he is from the government, and he will help or cure you. This is hucksterism and snake oil salesmanship at its very worse... playing on people's misery, and promising that if they would buy your product everything will be OK. This foolishness is a challenge to President Lincoln's premise that you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. We aren't fooled, but all the Kerry campaign needs to do is fool a plurality of the voters on election day. We live in an era of serious issues and historic challenge. It is up to us, you and me, on how the future plays out. The Democrats are organized and driven and they cannot stand on their record so they will lie anytime it serves their purpose. The Left has a considerable advantage in the the mega-communication industry from print and broadcast media, 527 organizations, unions, propaganda films and the educational system, and they are pulling out all stops in targeting President Bush for defeat. The only way to ensure that they do not win is for every single supporter of President Bush to do his or her part in combating the left's campaign of lies and to get every single supporter of the President to vote. To prevail, we must win the battle for the swing states! The Left is already flooding those states with money and out-of-state workers (and if rumor and history are guides, out-of-state voters on Election Day!). It is up to us to match or exceed this pre- election effort (except we do not advocate election fraud)! This newsletter is dedicated to supporting and promoting Action Items to thwart the Left and to return President Bush to a second term in office! wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww IN THIS NEWSLETTER wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ** Immediate Action ** This Week in Overdrive ** Action Alerts Register to Vote Fraud Watchers Wanted ** Battleground States BSO's Featured State: New Mexico Action Items Grassroots at the Battleground ** The Opposition at Work Debate on the Issues Convention Follies The Real Game Sideshows ** Outrage of the Week & Media Watch ** Polls ** Volunteer for the President ** Links ** Driving on the Right Side ** History & Mission ** Message from the Vice-President ** Subscription Information wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww IMMEDIATE ACTION wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww If you have not yet subscribed to BSO, sign up now for direct delivery to your email address. BushSupportInOverdrive@hotmail.com wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww THIS WEEK IN OVERDRIVE wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww What a busy week we have had! In addition to taking care of our own small business we have been monitoring the media for their expected puff job on the Democrat Convention. We weren't disappointed. The media largely gave Kerry and the Kool-aid drinkers a big pass on the truth, with Michael Moore emerging as essentially the Democrats' version of a Minuteman or in modern parlance, a rock star. Cripes! If this is the future we are all in very big trouble! The President, the Administration, Republicans in general, some of the press, and in our roles as supporters of the President, you and I have been characterized on a regular basis as 'Un-American' by certain prominent members of the Opposition. Over the past four years it has been the rare Democrat who could carry on a discussion of the issues without resorting to an ad hominum attack. So what should we expect in the few months ahead before the election? As a tactic for wooing swing voters the dems may tone down their rhetoric a little bit, but I am not confident about that prediction. The 'cRATS have regularly sunk to new lows in propaganda and have embraced form over substance. Instead of contributing to public policy debate, their favored tactic has been sloganeering and attack. We can all see who has been throwing the red meat to the fevered mob. The Democrats cynically hope for failure in Iraq and the ME as their best hope to regain the White House. The dims are also betting against the economy. And they call it patriotic and 'strength for America'... The polls are still in flux about what (if any) convention bounce that the Kerry Vague Promises for Everybody Campaign has gotten. Many polls show the Kerry-Edwards ticket with a slight vote lead over Bush-Cheney. In the all-important electoral vote count, Kerry leads the President by a wide margin in most polls. This election could go either way, so do not let the self-evident ridiculousness of the Democrat Lie Machine make you complacent. Get Busy, folks! wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ACTION ALERTS wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww REGISTER TO VOTE This is basic. You can easily register at http://www.voteforgeorgewbush.com/default.asp?template=7 Request an absentee ballot. When you receive it follow the directions exactly and mail it in well before the deadline. FRAUD WATCHERS WANTED Volunteer as a poll watcher or poll worker, especially in urban areas and in swing states where Democrat election fraud is suspect. This is not a last minute action item that you can put off. Most states have rigorous deadlines and other requirements for poll workers. Remember, a lot of unions have gotten their members Election Day off just so they can go work the polls in one way or another. Election fraud happens too often!! 'The essence of democracy is that everyone accepts the results of elections, even when they lose them.' http://www.fraudfactor.com/fflawsuitfraud.html 'The Election Fraud Theory' http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3a246229798e.htm Contact your local or state Republican Party headquarters now! Put a bumper sticker on your car. Go to your local GOP HQ. http://www.georgewbush.com/WStuff/ Write a letter to the editor. http://www.georgewbush.com/Btl/WriteNewspapers.aspx Call in to a talk radio station. http://www.georgewbush.com/btl/CallTalkRadio.aspx wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww BATTLEGROUND STATES wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww There are a little over 30 states that are seen as either safely going for the President or safely going to Kerry. The election will be either won or lost in the other battleground or 'swing' states. Can you take a one or two week vacation in one of these states in the weeks before (and including) Election Day? If you can, contact the state Republican Party headquarters and find out how you can help get out the vote. You may be doing phone work, door knocking, or something that uses your special skills. Don't be shy, the workers in these states will have plenty for you to do, and will be very appreciative of your help! Maybe you can make phone calls into an adjoining battleground state at no extra charge from your home. Use your imagination??¦ this is important! BSO's FEATURED STATE NEW MEXICO: To be able to vote in the election, you must register 28 days before that election. Registration at any county clerk's office, at the DMV and at many state agencies. NM GOP http://www.gopnm.org/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NewMexico4Bush/ NM newspapers, TV & Radio http://www.usnpl.com/nmnews.html The Democrat action groups ACT and moveon.org have targeted New Mexico for action this past week. They are moving people in there for a big registration push and under-the-radar campaign to affect the opinion polls to try to put this state permanently in the Kerry camp. If you know anyone in New Mexico give them a call and keep (or get) them on the Bush reservation. ACTION ITEMS: Do you have friends or relatives in any of these states? It is time to send them an email or better yet, a letter asking them to support the President in this time of war. Remind them to register to vote. In Kerry's own words... http://www.gop.com/News/MultiMedia/VideoPlayer.aspx?ID=868&T=2 Now isn't it clear?? CONVENTION FOLLIES The Kerry campaign will be focusing on a 'positive message' during the convention. Unfortunately for the dims, their party's platform statement on the main issue of the campaign mirrors the Bush Administration's policy and is opposed by 95% of the delegates according to the Boston Globe. With a wink and a nod the party faithful will have it both ways depending on who they are talking to. John Kerry, after a few days of boring mish-mash from the party faithful, finally announces his bold new foreign policy of 'if attacked, he will strongly retaliate.' John-boy, we really would expect this of any President. However, in a world of proliferating weapons of mass destruction, do we have to endure thousands, hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions of American dead on American soil before you will attack? Will John Kerry ever present a coherent plan for Iraq that will both satisfy the Democrat true-believers and protect and promote the long-term national security interests of the United States? There's no need to as long as the American public lets him get away with vague declarations while he runs away from his long record of opposition to military and intelligence funding. Kerry depends on smoke and mirrors. Ask questions. Demand answers. 'Look for Democrats to repeat the words "strong" or "strength" another few thousand times in the weeks and months ahead... a mantra in lieu of policy.' http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110005400 Many polls suggest that by viewing the convention nobody knows John Kerry any better than they did before the convention except he gave a hamster mouth-to-mouth. No help was given from Teresa in her prime-time speech either, it was rambling, confusing, and self-absorbed. That pretty well describes the Left in general. After nearly four years of intense personal attacks on the President, changing the tone of debate isn't coming easy for the the delegates and the rank and file. The Bush Bashing continues. It's a pretty good view from the cheap seats by those who have no responsibility, isn't it? THE REAL GAME Senator Kerry doesn't believe that the War on Terror is a war. Tell that to the victims of 9/11 and the Islamo-fascists. How out- of-touch is this guy, anyway? More, with a nice rebuttal by Sen. John McCain at www.georgewbush.com/blog/archives/week_2004_07_25.html#001350 The Kerry campaign is calling his volunteers 'Citizen Soldiers.' Apparently a real war against those who would like to see us dead isn't good enough for this mockery of a 'Winter Soldier'. If John Kerry is summoning his troops for a war at home, we say, 'Bring It On!' The Kerry campaign is putting together a nationwide network of attorneys to challenge close results in the November election. The day after the election in 2000 we all heard that a full planeload of Boston lawyers were catching the first plane to Florida. Now we know how this election will be played if any state is at all close, and there will probably be two or three that are going to qualify for recounts. Florida times three. Send the article to your Latino friends. Then suggest they send a message to the Democrats who take them for granted by registering Republican. http://www.townhall.com/columnists/lindachavez/lc20040714.shtml "Liberal Loopholes (or should we say political loopholes, hmm.) "In embracing John Edwards, John Kerry has also endorsed his populist "two Americas" rhetoric and has put tax increases at the center of the election campaign. So it's fair to ask the two Democrats: How much of those tax increases will actually hit the super-rich like yourselves, and how much will end up on the backs of upper middle-class wage earners?" Yeah, these two are The Real Deal... Who's buying that line? http://forums.delphiforums.com/BushActivist/messages?msg=6397.1 No words of apology yet from the left regarding the apparently true statements from the President, Tony Blair and British intelligence about Saddam trying to purchase uranium from Africa for his nuclear program. We'll keep you posted on apologies, but we won't hold our breath. http://www.gopteamleader.com/myissues/view_issue.asp?id=1979 SIDESHOWS Presidential elections have never been decided by how well we like or dislike the potential First Lady, but what's up with Teresa Heinz-Kerry's use of the word 'un-American' in the description of the President, the Administration, Republicans, the press, or just simply people who disagree with her? When asked about what she means she denies that she used the word and tells the press and those of us who want to know to 'Shove It!' With this imperious exhibition of character, doesn't Teresa Heinz-Kerry remind you a little bit of 'Evita'? She is certainly a contrast to our First Lady Laura Bush. More about Teresa, John, and their marriage at http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?pagename=article&node= &contentId=A39691-2002May31¬Found=true Gives a little bit more insight into both of their personalities. Poor Al Gore. He will forever be stuck in the Election of 2000, kind of like the movie 'Groundhog Day'. Although we will never forgive his desire to trash the votes of the overseas military men and women, nor the attempts of his minions in Dade County from doing their own private count of the votes behind closed doors, or his lengthy and ultimately futile attempts to come up with some way to count overvotes, undervotes, and dimpled chads in a mad hope that somehow he could come up with some formula to win in Florida, we do hope that he gets help soon. Delusions that last this long cannot be good. All in all, it's definite proof that there is a God who is watching over America. http://worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=39657 Finally, "Nice bunny suit, John." wwwwwwwwwwwwww OUTRAGE OF THE WEEK & MEDIA WATCH wwwwwwwwwwwwww Former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger got caught stealing notes and classified documents from the National Archives. Want to see what was happening at 'BSO: The End Game' on 12/08/2000? Go to http://forums.delphiforums.com/BushActivist/messages?msg=10.1 President George W. Bush represents well the historical values that have made this country the best hope for humanity. We have seen those values come under attack from abroad and from the opposition, attacks which have been unprecedented in their scope and their viciousness. The President is doing all that is possible to prevail in this War on Terror against an enemy that would kill us all and drag the world back to the 11th century. Likewise, the President has pursued a sound economic program that has brought the economy out of an inherited recession to the point where we now have over 4% annual growth. It is not the time to trust our national security and our economy to the vague promises of a utopian future from two of the most liberal Senators in Congress. This time around, it is up to each and every one of us to do something beyond voting, as important as that civic duty is. All we ask is that you do your part. This newsletter will provide what we believe are the most effective Action Items that you can do to support the President's re-election. There are many whose work I have cut and pasted here. Many thanks to them!! Keep up the good work, everyone! You are Patriots all! ******* Signed, Toadly ******* wwwwwwwwwwwwwwww MESSAGE FROM THE VICE-PRESIDENT wwwwwwwwwwwwww President Bush has led this nation with strength and resolve as we confront the terrorist threat. In the war on terror, we will always seek cooperation from our allies around the world. But as the President has made very clear: There is a difference between leading a coalition of many nations and submitting to the objections of a few. The United States will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country. These are not times for leaders who shift with the political winds -- saying one thing one day and another, the next. Senator Kerry's position on big issues often depends on when you ask him. When Congress voted to authorize force against Saddam Hussein, Senator Kerry voted yes. This year, when it served his political prrposes, he described himself as an opponent of the war. When it came time to fund our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, for body armor and other vital support, Kerry and Edwards both voted no, even though Senator Kerry said such a vote would be "irresponsible." Senator Kerry then explained that, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it." We need a President who will back our troops 100 percent, and that's exactly the kind of President we have. There is no doubt that great events will turn on this election. The leader who sits in the Oval Office will set the course of the war on terror, and set the direction of the American economy. Strong, consistent leadership is required. www.GeorgeWBush.com/Cheney/ *** signed, Dick Cheney *** The campaign needs us all to support it as much as we are able.
