Polls don't begin to explain why values are so hard to define and
handicap in a presidential race. When the vote is tallied, the
candidate who most closely aligns him or herself with the
prevailing community values usually wins. That is why Senator
Kerry is running away from his record in the Senate. He cannot
show how his values are in synch with the values of most
Americans.

This election is the most important in our lifetimes.
How many times have you heard that? Dozens? Hundreds? Thousands?
Why do people say this? Is it because of the war? We have had
wars before, large and small. Is it because of the economy? The
economy is on a positive trajectory. Is it because the incumbent
is evil, mad, or a tyrant, as so many on the left claim? No,
those are real rants. Is it because of inequity in the system? No,
we have long lived with some inequities in the system and have an
uneven history on both sides in addressing them.
The answer is values. The values that have historically made
America strong such as family, faith, and sacrifice are all under
attack by a self-appointed elite who know what is best for you
and will change the law by any means necessary to achieve their
utopian visions. Incredibly, marriage and the voice of Christians
are under attack, while judicial activism thwarts majority
standards. The sacrifice of thousands in dead and injured is
dismissed by the confused left as a mistake, while over 50
million people in Iraq and Afghanistan develop the mechanisms of
freedom and democratic rule. Then there is the Orwellian double-
speak of the opposition, where scat monologues by Hollywood
entertainers are described as reflecting 'the heart and soul of
America.'
We live in an era of serious issues and historic challenge. It is
up to us, you and me, on how the future plays out. The Democrats
are organized and driven and they cannot stand on their record so
they will lie anytime it serves their purpose. The Left has a
considerable advantage in the the mega-communication industry
from print and broadcast media, 527 organizations, unions,
propaganda films and the educational system, and they are pulling
out all stops in targeting President Bush for defeat. The only
way to ensure that they do not win is for every single supporter
of President Bush and the values that he clearly stands for to do
his or her part in combating the left's campaign of lies and to
get every single supporter of the President to vote.
To prevail, we must win the battle for the swing states! The Left
is already flooding those states with money and out-of-state
workers (and if rumor and history are guides, out-of-state voters
on Election Day!). It is up to us to match or exceed this pre-
election effort! This newsletter is dedicated to supporting and
promoting Action Items to thwart the Left at every turn and to
return President Bush to a second term in office!

The stock market dives as the polls show Senator Kerry ahead in
critical swing states and consequently, in the vital electoral
vote count. These dog days of August are when we traditionally
abandon politics for a while, but this year is different. Do some
volunteer work at the HQ, talk with your neighbors about values,
take a look at the Olympics, and at the end of the month we'll
have our convention.
Aren't those swift boat commanders something? They have produced
an excellent commercial that shows there is something fishy about
John Kerry's service in Vietnam. Get a copy of 'Unfit for Command'
and get familiar with it. Once that's done, get it in the hands
of a pro-Kerry veteran. Pass it on.
Homeland Security and our alliances with other nations around the
world seem to be doing a very good job lately in rounding up the
bad guys and bringing them to justice. Good intelligence develops
over time. Of course John Kerry was always opposed to
strengthening our intelligence capability while he was in the
Senate, no matter what he is droning on about these days.
The Democrats cynically hope for failure in Iraq and the ME as
their best hope to regain the White House. The dims are also
betting against the economy. And they call it patriotic and
'a strong and respected America'... Just because they repeat the
words doesn't mean they get it.

The polls are confirming that the Kerry Vague Promises for
Everybody Campaign has gotten at most a four point convention
bounce. This is less a bounce than a thud, historically speaking.
In the all-important electoral vote count, Kerry leads the
President by a wide but narrowing margin in most polls.
In the meantime we've got to make it to par and above (well
above) because If It's Not Close Then They Can't Cheat (a plug
for Hugh Hewett's book by the same name). This election could go
either way and will be highly dependent on the events of the last
week or two. No matter what the polls say, we will have to work
right up to the end, and beyond, if necessary.

FRAUD WATCHERS WANTED
Volunteer as a poll watcher or poll worker, especially in urban
areas and in swing states where Democrat election fraud is
suspect. This is not a last minute action item that you can put
off. Most states have rigorous deadlines and other requirements
for poll workers. Remember, a lot of unions have gotten their
members Election Day off just so they can go work the polls in
one way or another. Election fraud happens too often!! 'The

elections, even when they lose them.'

Did you hear that Gov. Howard Dean expressed the view of his
constituents by saying the announcement of an increased terror
threat was partly a move for political gain. These wackos are

THE REAL GAME
The votes of women will be critical to victory in this election.
Are you paying enough attention to this binding and strengthening
part of the social fabric? The Democrats are saying that it will
be the young single woman who makes the difference, but on issues
of values, social cohesion, the family, marriage, and security it
should rightly be the entire group of women who should naturally
be supportive of the President. Think about this the next time
you are talking with your women friends and prospective voters.
Kerry at work... As a member of the Senate Select Committee on
Intelligence Kerry tried repeatedly to cut intelligence agencies
budgets, at least when he was there. He missed 38 out of 49
meetings.

The Democrats have challenged and blocked the candidacy of Ralph
Nader everywhere they can. As Republicans we have a duty as part
of the political game to exploit fissures between the factions of
the opposition. Therefore, we support Ralph Nader's effort to get
on the ballot of every state possible. Go ahead, sign that
petition to get Ralph on your state's ballot. It does not mean
that you have gone over to the dark side. It's a petition in
support of his candidacy, not his election.

probably won't vote for Bush, so suggest Nader as an 'honorable'
alternative.

The 72 Hour Task Force: We have already begun gearing up for the
2004 election with the 72 Hour Task Force. This program will be

is made up of volunteers and activists who will register and

and will be working to get those voters out to the polls in 2004

door to door, literature drops, and election day campaigning.

This newsletter, "Bush Support in Overdrive", has been
re-activated from the 2000 election and post-election campaign.
During that campaign we were distributed daily to over 50,000
people through a network of great people and supportive
organizations. Although we do not anticipate having to prepare
and send "Bush Support in Overdrive: The End Game" through

President George W. Bush represents well the historical values
that have made this country the best hope for humanity. We have
seen those values come under attack from abroad and from the
opposition, attacks which have been unprecedented in their scope
and their viciousness.
The President is doing all that is possible to prevail in this
War on Terror against an enemy that would kill us all and drag
the world back to the 11th century. Likewise, the President has
pursued a sound economic program that has brought the economy out
of an inherited recession to the point where we now have over 4%
annual growth. It is not the time to trust our national security
and our economy to the vague promises of a utopian future from
two of the most liberal Senators in Congress.
This time around, it is up to each and every one of us to do
something beyond voting, as important as that civic duty is. All
we ask is that you do your part. This newsletter will provide
what we believe are the most effective Action Items that you can
do to support the President's re-election.

"We establish no religion in this country, nor will we ever. We
command no worship. We mandate no belief. But we poison our
society when we remove its theological underpinnings. We court
corruption when we leave it bereft of belief.
All are free to believe or not believe; all are free to practice
a faith or not. But those who believe must be free to speak of
and act on their belief, to apply moral teaching to public
questions.
I submit to you that the tolerant society is open to and
encouraging of all religions. And this does not weaken us; it
strengthens us, it makes us strong. You know, if we look back
through history to all those great civilizations, those great
nations that rose up to even world dominance and then
deteriorated, declined, and fell, we find they all had one thing
in common. One of the significant forerunners of their fall was
their turning away from their God or gods.
Without God, there is no virtue, because there's no prompting of
the conscience. Without God, we're mired in the material, that
flat world that tells us only what the senses perceive. Without
God, there is a coarsening of the society. And without God,
democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that
we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.
If I could just make a personal statement of my own -- in these
3 1/2 years I have understood and known better than ever before
the words of Lincoln, when he said that he would be the greatest
fool on this footstool called Earth if he ever thought that for
one moment he could perform the duties of that office without
help from One who is stronger than all.
There are no such things as limits to growth, because there are
no limits on the human capacity for intelligence, imagination and
wonder.
