"The Real Deal" is of course the official campaign slogan of the
Kerry campaign. Short, cute, rhymes, and echoes previous Democrat
themes over the past century. But what does it really mean?
If there is a Real Deal in this presidential race does that mean
that there is an Unreal Deal? Is The Real Deal a person, or a set
of policy initiatives, or is it a philosophy? What does it say
about the opposition (that would be us). Does it mean anything?
Does that matter?

Starting with this issue and continuing until the Republican
convention BSO will explore the question of Who or What is The
Real Deal. Hang on to your seats.

In the meantime, there is work to do...

THE REAL DEAL?  wwwwwwwww
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Genuine in existence. Trust. Authentic. Truth. Honest. Bona fide.
Certain. Concrete. Original. Positive. Right. Sensible. Sincere.
Solid. Stable. Irrefutable. Substantial. Valid. Factual.

These are the qualities that one would associate with the words,
'The Real Deal.' When descriptive words are lined out this way
and you pair 'John Kerry' with 'The Real Deal', doesn't it sound
like an oxymoron? John Kerry: The Real Deal just doesn't fit
together given what we have learned about Senator Flip-Flop and
his lies and exaggerations about 'talking with foreign leaders',
spending 'Christmas in Cambodia', 'I voted for it, before I voted
against it', and 'Sure, I love to go to Wendy's...', just to
count a couple of recent gaffes.

Senator Kerry is so liberal that he makes Sen. Kennedy the
Conservative Senator from Massachusetts. Kerry sponsored a bill
to reduce intelligence spending by $6 billion dollars after the
first World Trade Center tower bombing, and couldn't get a single
other Senator of either party to back it. He served on the Senate
intellegence committee, but rarely attended. This, even before he
began running for President.

What is Kerry's Iraq position? Depends on what day you ask. Even
now there are few if any people who are sure where he stands.

Senator Kerry spent nearly 30 years in the US Senate and there is
not a single notable achievement on his record. He did spearhead
the efforts of the Nuclear Freeze Movement while President Reagan
was busy winning the Cold War.

"I committed war crimes" said Mr. Kerry in front of a Senate
committee in 1971. He went on to indict all Vietnam vets of war
crimes and atrocities. His comments were used to undermine the
morale of American prisoners of war, and his photo is prominently
placed in a Vietnamese war museum as 'a friend of the people.'
Kerry later attended a meeting of anti-war vets whose actions
under consideration included extreme action against some Senators
and shortly thereafter threw his war medals, or threw someone
else's medals, over the fence at the White House.

If you listened to the Democrat Convention, you would have
thought that the only thing that Kerry had accomplished in his
life was his four month tour of duty in Vietnam. There have been
a number of questions raised about his service there, most
recently by fellow swift boat officers and up the chain of
command in a best-selling book, 'Unfit for Command'. John Kerry
was never in Cambodia, didn't ferry CIA operatives in his swift
boat, may have thought he had a 'magic hat', falsified one or
more combat reports, and received a number of medals for heroic
actions that may or may not have happened. John Kerry refuses to
release all of his service and medical records.

John Kerry and his heiress wife Teresa Heinz-Kerry have a net
worth of over One Billion Dollars. Yes, with a 'B'. Even though
Massachusetts is a community property state spouse Teresa refuses
to file a financial statement that is standard for every
candidate and spouse for high federal office. Such wealth puts
the Kerrys in the company of perhaps 100 people nationwide. Their
four mansion homes plus numerous vacation homes, a five million
dollar private jet, and who knows what else is so far removed
from most Americans' experience that it calls into question a
whole slew of beliefs and assumptions of this richly-endowed
couple. Oh yes, neither of these rich people actually earned the
money. They both married into it. To be fair, John Kerry had a
small muffin bakery in Boston before he went into politics or
married two very rich women.

Now John Kerry is running for President. Why is he running? He is
'ABB'-- 'Anybody But Bush'. He has no coherent policy inititives,
changes his mind constantly, and masquerades as a hawk on
national security when he is anything but one. Even members of
his own party increasingly hold him in distain and question his
integrity.

"The Real Deal" looks more and more bogus every day.

THIS WEEK IN OVERDRIVE  wwwwwwwww
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Karen Hughes is back! Longtime adviser and friend Karen Hughes
traveled with Bush on the campaign trail this past week for the
first time in the current election cycle. BSO hopes that Karen
will be continuing as an integral part of the campaign.

John Kerry calls Vietnam vets liars and is increasingly defensive
about his war record as polls show veterans prefer Bush by 2-1
margin, and increasing. The media, after ignoring the swift boat
commanders and the allegations in 'Unfit for Command', are now
taking an increasing interest in John Kerry's stories about
Vietnam. This is the Kerry story that will not go away, and may
lead to a Kerry meltdown. Get a copy of 'Unfit for Command' and
get familiar with it. Once that's done, get it in the hands of a
pro-Kerry veteran. Pass it on.

The stock market dives as the polls show Senator Kerry ahead in
critical swing states and consequently, in the vital electoral
vote count. These dog days of August are when we traditionally
abandon politics for a while, but this year is different. Do some
volunteer work at the HQ, talk with your neighbors about values,
take a look at the Olympics, and at the end of the month we'll
have our convention where we can openly celebrate our party and
our vision for the future.

This past week the Bush-Cheney campaign announced its latest ad,
"Victory." This ad tells the story of the triumph of democracy
and the spread of freedom around the world. In 1972, 40
democratic nations participated in the Olympics. Now, over 120
free nations gather in Athens for two weeks of sporting
competition. Included among these nations are Iraq and
Afghanistan.   http://www.georgewbush.com/blog/archives/week_2004

BSO is finding that this election is coming down to local issues
in the 50 states. Each state has its hot button issues and/or a
particular sliver of the electorate that is energized... or not.
Take a another look at the 'Battleground States' section. BSO has
included a 'critical path' section on each state that shows (we
hope) the best path to take in helping the President win in that
state. BSO reads a lot, but cannot be everywhere or be accurate
everytime. If you have intimate knowledge of issues of importance
or portions of the electorate, feel free to drop us a note at
bushsupportinoverdrive@hotmail.com.

The Republican Convention is a little more than a week away and
the opposition groups that include Democrats, anarchists,
socialists, communists, and far-left groups of all different
kinds are getting ready to disrupt the democratic process.
There's a good likelihood that our terrorist enemy will be in
attendance looking for opportunity, and the protest groups advise
their members to sprinkle in some gunpowder in their backpacks.
Why? To overwork and confuse the bomb-sniffing dogs. Actions
against police horses (marbles on the street) and the other
tactics that we have become familiar with in Seattle and other
places show these 'demonstrators' as the 'enemy within'. This
presents us with an opportunity to re-state the terms of entrance
into this war, which was: 'If you don't stand with us, you stand
against us'. These people put all of us at risk. They should be
arrested and charged under anti-terrorist statutes.

This past week the democrats have been bounced 'off message' with
the revelations of John Kerry's service in Vietnam. During the
week Kerry didn't help himself by twisting around to avoid taking
a real and coherent position on the Iraq war and what he would do
differently, if anything. Kerry's campaign is smoke and mirrors.
The Democrats cynically hope for failure in Iraq and the ME as
their best hope to regain the White House. The dims are also
betting against the economy. And they call it patriotic and
'a strong and respected America'...  Just because they repeat the
words doesn't mean they get it.

We don't know how the President will do in the polls
after the convention... there are a lot of factors that are
uncertain at this point. The harrassment of delegates at their
hotels and other venues is nearly certain, but we hope that the
convention itself will be secure.

This election could go either way and will be highly dependent on
the events of the last week or two before the election. No matter
what the polls say, we will have to work right up to the end, and
beyond, if necessary.

Get Busy, Folks!

ACTION ALERTS  wwwwwwwww
wwwwwwwwwwwwwww

HOW LOW WILL THE MEDIA GO?
Quite a ways, if you've followed the regular media, print and
broadcast, in their efforts to attack the President. Over the
next few weeks and through the Convention much will be said of
the preparations and actions of left fringe groups to disrupt the
Convention. Keep in mind that giving Hate a platform makes you
just as guilty as if you had said it yourselves. The media is
likely to publicize a lot of hate-speech against the President
and this country. When it happens, call them to task. Calls,
faxes, letters, and emails to the editor or program should
protest giving these nut cases any publicity. See our LINKS
section for media addresses, emails, and phone numbers.

NADER SWING STATES DEADLINES APPROACH

for ballot access and help keep these states close!! Call your

VIRGINIA: Nader needs to qualify by 8/20. No news yet.
OREGON! Nader needs to qualify by 8/24.

JOHN KERRY MEETS THE TRUTH SQUAD
Great ads by the official campaign and non-official (527) groups
are in The Real Kerry section. Send them to your friends and
known Democrats.

A few days ago, Bush-Cheney '04 announced the release of the
campaign's newest television advertisement, "Solemn Duty." The
new advertisement emphasizes President George W. Bush's most
solemn duty - to keep America safe and bring terrorists to
justice. See it at http://www.georgewbush.com/blog/ and send it
to a friend.

This is basic. You can easily register at
http://www.voteforgeorgewbush.com/default.asp?template=7
Request an absentee ballot. When you receive it follow the
directions exactly and mail it in well before the deadline. This
will free you to call other Republicans to get them to the ballot
booth on election day.

FRAUD WATCHERS WANTED
We're not that jazzed that the UN will be sending international
observers to our election, but if they help prevent fraud, OK.
Volunteer as a poll watcher or poll worker, especially in urban
areas and in swing states where Democrat election fraud is
suspect. This is not a last minute action item that you can put
off. Most states have rigorous deadlines and other requirements
for poll workers. Remember, a lot of unions have gotten their
members Election Day off just so they can go work the polls in
one way or another. Election fraud happens too often!! 'The
essence of democracy is that everyone accepts the results of
elections, even when they lose them.'

BATTLEGROUND STATES  wwwwwwwww
wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

There are a little over 30 states that are seen as either safely
going for the President or safely going to Kerry. The election
will be either won or lost in the other battleground or 'swing'
states. Between convention polls are discounted by many, but we
follow the polls for trends. Something you might want to know...
overall the President was down about 10% in the collective swing
states before the Democrat convention. Now the President trails
Kerry by about 2% overall in those states. In general it would be
safe to say that the more the American public gets to know John
Kerry the more they just do not like the man. We have about 10
weeks to expose the Senator for the fraud that he is.

BSO's FEATURED STATES: CALIFORNIA and MICHIGAN
Today the Kerry Campaign can begin to freak out. The latest polls
in California and Michigan put the President three points behind
Kerry. Yes, the difference on CA and MI now is equal to the
difference in West Virginia, and closer than long-time swing
states Maine, Pennsylvania, Florida, Oregon, and New Hampshire.
It is way too soon to begin celebrating a national landslide in
favor of the President, but we will cautiously view this
development as potentially the first sign that the broader
electorate has taken a good look at Kerry and just doesn't like
what it sees. We like the trend, but the polls could be wrong.
Get yourself busy registering Bush-friendlies and talking up Bush
and talking down Kerry.

ACTION ITEMS:
Do you have friends or relatives in any of these states? It is
time to send them an email or better yet, a letter asking them to
support the President in this time of war. Remind them to
register to vote. Give them their state's registration
information (below). Enclose a bumper sticker.

letter to the editor or call a radio station. Get your entire

COLORADO: This week Colorado has certified the "Electoral College
Reform Initiative" for the ballot in November, better known as
the "Make Your Vote Count" proposal. If this initiative passes,
effective with this election the electoral votes will be
distributed according to the percentage of the popular vote in
Colorado rather than the usual winner-take-all format. Both
historically and currently, Colorado leans slightly Republican,
so its nine electoral votes will probably go to Bush in 2004.
If this measure passes, Kerry will get four votes while Bush
gets five. Or vice-versa should Kerry squeak out a victory in
November. BSO will monitor any polls on probability of passage
of this initiative. In the meantime, if you live in Colorado
   get yourself registered to vote!
Bush has narrowing margin in the last polls. Nader on ballot.

WHERE DO THEY STAND ON THE ISSUES?
Foreign policy
Kerry today:
"Finally, I want to say something about the plan that the
President announced on Monday to withdraw 70,000 troops from Asia
and Europe. Nobody wants to bring troops home more than those of
us who have fought in foreign wars. But it needs to be done at
the right time and in a sensible way. This is not that time or
that way."
Kerry on August 1, seventeen days ago:
"I think we can significantly change the deployment of troops,
not just there but elsewhere in the world. In the Korean
Peninsula perhaps, in Europe perhaps. There are great
possibilities open to us."

Where does Senator Kerry stand on Iraq? In Kerry's own words...
http://www.gop.com/News/MultiMedia/VideoPlayer.aspx?ID=868&T=2
Now isn't it clear?? It's Kerry vs. Kerry2 vs. Kerry3 vs...

Senator Kerry recently announced that if he had the same
information as the President had about Iraq and he had known that
no weapons of mass destruction would be found, he would have gone
to war.

After the President commended the Senator for his statement, the
Kerry campaign immediately disavowed the Senator's previous
statement.

Now, aren't you crystal clear as to where the Senator stands?

WHO ARE THEY TRYING TO FOOL?

"While Senator John Kerry and his running-mate Senator John
Edwards were recently being photographed at lunchtime at Wendy's,
to show what regular guys they are, their real lunch was from a
local yacht club, which is more their speed in real life. There
is nothing wrong with eating lunch from or at a yacht club. What
is wrong is being phony -- and thinking that the American people
need to be conned." --Thomas Sowell

THE REAL GAME

MoveOn Asks Members to 'Adopt A Battleground State'
by Jimmy Moore
http://www.gopusa.com/news/2004/august/0812_moveon_adopt_state.
shtml
The left is engaged in the critical battles of this election.
Have you done the action items recommended for the battleground
states yet? It is time right now to do some work. How about an
hour of calls and letters to your friends in the swing states?
With the possibility that this election will hinge on a few votes
in a few states, this is your chance to affect history!

The votes of women will be critical to victory in this election.
Are you paying enough attention to this binding and strengthening
part of the social fabric? The Democrats are saying that it will
be the young single woman who makes the difference, but on issues
of values, social cohesion, the family, marriage, and security it
should rightly be the entire group of women who should naturally
be supportive of the President. Think about this the next time
you are talking with your women friends and prospective voters.

Kerry at work... As a member of the Senate Select Committee on
Intelligence Kerry tried repeatedly to cut intelligence agencies
budgets, at least when he was there. He missed 38 out of 49
meetings. He's really Johnny on-the-stump, isn't he? The Senator
apparently has no time for constructive leadership.
http://washingtontimes.com/national/20040730-121809-6131r.htm

The Democrats have challenged and blocked the candidacy of Ralph
Nader everywhere they can. As Republicans we have a duty as part
of the political game to exploit fissures between the factions of
the opposition. Therefore, we support Ralph Nader's effort to get
on the ballot of every state possible. Go ahead, sign that
petition to get Ralph on your state's ballot. It does not mean
that you have gone over to the dark side. It's a petition in
support of his candidacy, not his election.

Finally, BSO welcomes the increased scrutiny that Monsieur Kerry
is getting regarding his service to the country as regards all
matters military. From Medalgate to Comrade Kerry's indictment of
Vietnam vets to Kerry's Senate opposition to all measures of
national security in military and intelligence matters, American
voters should be seriously asking themselves if this is the type
of man who should be leading this nation in a time of war.

SIDESHOWS

"In Kerry's insistence that the commitment of our allies --
British, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Dutch, Australian, Romanian,
Bulgarian, Japanese, Thai, Danish and others -- adds up to a big
fat zero in a 'unilateral' American adventure, he has shown
himself bereft of all diplomatic smarts. Talk about Ugly American.
Only this one speaks perfect French." --Diana West

The DNC is showing itself to be against freedom of speech once
again. This time, it is the authors of 'Unfit for Command' and
the over 250 other Vietnam vets who comprise the swift boat
vets for truth group are raising the ire of the 'cRATS.

BSO expects either John or Tereza (or both) to have a meltdown
soon. We don't think they can take the heat... or the
contradictions. But when you are that rich, who cares?

"People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a
majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions
are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

This newsletter, "Bush Support in Overdrive", has been
re-activated from the 2000 election and post-election campaign.
During that campaign we were distributed daily to over 50,000
people through a network of great people and supportive
organizations. Although we do not anticipate having to prepare
and send "Bush Support in Overdrive: The End Game" through
mid-December like the last time, we will if we must. Want to see
what was happening at 'BSO: The End Game' on 12/08/2000? Go to
http://forums.delphiforums.com/BushActivist/messages?msg=10.1

President George W. Bush represents well the historical values
that have made this country the best hope for humanity. We have
seen those values come under attack from abroad and from the
opposition, attacks which have been unprecedented in their scope
and their viciousness.

The President is doing all that is possible to prevail in this
War on Terror against an enemy that would kill us all and drag
the world back to the 11th century. Likewise, the President has
pursued a sound economic program that has brought the economy out
of an inherited recession to the point where we now have over 4%
annual growth. It is not the time to trust our national security
and our economy to the vague promises of a utopian future from
two of the most liberal Senators in Congress.

This time around, it is up to each and every one of us to do
something beyond voting, as important as that civic duty is. All
we ask is that you do your part. This newsletter will provide
what we believe are the most effective Action Items that you can
do to support the President's re-election.

There are many whose work I have cut and pasted here. Many thanks
to them!! Keep up the good work, everyone! You are Patriots all!
