When does a female deer need money?

(See answer below)

GOING, GOING, GONE!

One day a man went to an auction. While there, he bid on an
exotic parrot. He really wanted this bird, so he got caught up in
the bidding.

He kept on bidding, but kept getting outbid, so he bid higher
and higher and higher. Finally, after he bid way more
than he intended, he won the bid - the fine bird was finally his!

As he was paying for the parrot, he said to the Auctioneer, "I
sure hope this parrot can talk. I would hate to have paid this
much for it, only to find out that he can't talk!"

"Don't worry", said the Auctioneer, "He can talk. Who do you
think kept bidding against you?"

Your Pet's On Parade

Piper (my little westie) and I were coming back from our walk on
July 3rd, when we ran into our the pool man for our complex. He had this
pitiful creature, with a light cord tied to her neck.  She hadbeen
drinking the pool water.  He asked me if I would take her home, give her
some real water and call the pound.  Piper, being the opionatedfriend that
she is, agreed.

I took a look at this large dog and told Piper that we were probablytaking
her home to die.  She was in horrible shape.  The pound askedus to keep
her for 15 days, in which time they would advertise for us and thenpick
her up if we did not get a response.

We bound her tummy up, so it would not drag on the ground and proceededto
feed her.  I discovered that she moaned with pure pleasure whenI hugged
her, so she got lots hugs, too.  When the pound called we toldthem to
forget it....she was not lost anymore.

As time went by, she became magnificently beautiful, with food waterand
love.  The vet told us that she had been abused-that someone triedto make
this kind friend mean.  There was not a kind bone in that bigold body.
Living was pure joy to this older dog.  One lady asked me...."Whatis that
dog so happy about-I was depressed, but had to laugh when I saw thathappy
face."  My answer - she got up today.

Lost brought pure joy into my home for six years before she passed away. I
promised her a fancy retirement for good old dogs and I kept my promise.
She, in turn, brought Piper & I unforgetable moments of love, lifeand
happiness.
Don't turn that old dog away - those 6 years were beautiful!

Rabbits & Grooming

Rabbits are very clean animals and spend a great deal of time
grooming themselves.

If you have a short haired bunny, routine grooming of your bunny
won't take much time except during heavy sheds.

Angora rabbits pose a special challenge for grooming, and
need frequent brushing. Daily grooming needs to be part of your
rabbit care routine.

However, even short coated breeds should be brushed at least
weekly, and more often during sheds to prevent ingestion of too muchhair.
