Subject: Bono on Meet the Press - June26, 2005



In case you missed it this morning, Bono appeared on NBC's Meet the Press to talk about the potential for a real breakthrough in the fight against poverty at the G8.

Meet the Press will be repeated on Cable channel MSNBC tonight (June 26) at 10 pm and 1 AM EST.

LIVE 8 will be broadcast all over the world through TV, satellite, radio and the internet.

The Philadelphia concert will begin around Noon and run for six hours.
The London concert will begin in the afternoon and run for six hours.
All five concerts will send a video feed to London.
In total, there will be 10 hours of live event coverage on TV.
The main broadcaster in the UK is the BBC.

In the U.S., an all-day concert will be broadcast on MTV and VH1 from Noon to 8 pm EST.
A primetime show will be broadcast on a network station not yet identified (probably ABC).

Internationally, the MTV, VH1 and Music Factory networks will show hourly bulletins about the show.

XM Satellite Radio will carry the concerts live.

As the exclusive Live 8 online partner, AOL will bring together a worldwide audience for the only complete broadcast of all of the Live 8 concerts for free, live and on demand.
People around the world will be able to learn more about global poverty, connect with a community of fans and make their voices heard at
