Demystifying Google's Website Crawl

There has been a striving to get a website crawled by Google ever sense Google became a search engine. Search Engine Optimizers appeared to help a web site owner to get a good search placing on keywords. This still is the case, but Google has made it much easer for you now. Getting Google to crawl your website was a real challenge. That has now changed.

Gone are the strategies to get Google to crawl your website. The mystical, shrouded theories are now mowed down by Google's open instructions on how to get a good page rank.

This is something Google has prepared for you, and it is easy to implement.

Here some simple steps to get your web page crawled by Google.

First, go to Google and login . If you haven't started an Adsense account, do so now.

The help section in Google is very good. Look at the top right of the page and click on Help.

Go here to get started on learning about how to maximize your ads on your website.

Optimize your ads with this information. It is very good and fills in the necessary information.

Here is the real information you want! It is a Google help site that can get your website crawled really fast. How fast? Like RIGHT NOW!

First more information.

It begins with Google SiteMaps. Google has their own sitemap generator. It installs on your website. Although it is a little complicated, you can install it yourself. If you don't want to do it yourself, then have your website tech support do it. Read further if you want other options.

Their preferred sitemap generator is found here. https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/siteoverview?hl=en

also, an XML sitemap generator program is found here. XML means Xtended Markup Language, similar to HTML.

I like to use another source for a site map. It is called an ROR file

ROR means Resource Of a Resource. This is a small XML file that describes your website.

If you go to this web page you can easily generate a ROR file for your website. This is a free service. This is what I have done.

You have to FTP the sitemap ROR.xml file up to your web site.

Once you have your sitemap file on your website you now can go to getting your website crawled.

Go to Google and follow the directions and your website will be verified and crawled.

I know that this information is complex and somewhat sparse. If you go to Google and study their way of verifying and crawling your web site you will easily get it crawled by Google.
