Google "Bad Listed" my Webpage
The other night I checked my website (
http://www.CrazyComputers.com )
to see why I wasn't getting any Adsense clicks. What I had found is
that Google had replaced the regular Adsense ads with a generic Google
ad. That is why no one was clicking on the ads. I was surprised
to find this out.
I discovered that Google had "bad listed" my webpage. Apparently they
didn't like the article I had on the webpage. I check the other web pages
I had on my website and noticed the the Adsense ads were OK. This meant
that only the home page was affected. I knew that I had to replace the
offending article to get back in Google's good graces.
I began to look for an article that would replace the one I had. I
looked through my list of free articles.
I found a good one and checked out for duplicate web pages. I copied the
first sentence and pasted that into the Google search bar. (Put your text
in quotes for a Google search on just the text.) I found only 220
pages. That is a pretty large number to work against. To keep the
article fresh, I rewrote most of it so I won't have be contending with
those 220 other websites. If you do that your page rank will go up that
way. The GoogleBot likes "fresh meat" to chew on.
I quickly posted the new webpage . This morning I was relieved to see
that the Adsense ads were now running normally.
The GoogleBot had crawled my website last night and restored my ad
status.
If you want to earn on the 'net you have to be a responsible netizen.
So keep writing your articles so that they won't offend Google. Thanks to
Google for updating my website so quickly. I know they want your webpage
to work , since both you and Google earn from your website.
Cheers, Lee
P.S. Contrary to many who think that google won't spyder your website,
They actually visit often to keep up with your changes. Who knows how many
times a day eBay gets spydered?
