Subject: Freedom from anger-is it possible? - April11, 2006

Dear True Freedom Subscriber,

If there is one person I envy, it is an acquaitance whom I met a few years ago.He wan older gentleman and I was moved by the absolute sense of calm around him.His eyes were gentle and compassionate and seeing you could feel the peace he was feeling.I always wondered how I too could cultivate that sense of unshakable calm and ease.I realized then that I could have that only if I manage to let go of every shred of anger within me.This can be in the form of annoyance,frustration or even irritations.But until these are overcome in daily living there is no way I could attain the sense of peace and calm that I so wanted.

What gives rise to anger?Is it fear?well yes but not entirely fear.It is also a sense of seperation from good,---it is also a sense of lack that gies rise to anger.It is a feeling of anoyance at how things turn out.Maybe also our stubborness on not acceping things as they happen.All these contribute to our feeling of anger.

A few ideas that help me constantly and that I use to work with are as follows;

Life is my friend and wants only the best for me.There is no use fighting Life instead my effort has to be to accept and learn the lessons that are to be learned.

I cannot control what hapens but I can decide how I respond to it.

The false sense of power that being angry in the moment is one of the reasons we hold on to it.

I hope that these pointers are helpful to you too.If you have some helpful ideas do write to me at ezresponse@yahoo.com and I will share it with other subscribers too.

Thank you

Alan L
