Quick Mascara Application Tips and Helpful Hints 1. Curl those lashes - It definitely lifts them and makes them appear longer when using an eyelash curler. Just be sure to curl before you apply your mascara, or you will be pulling lashes out with the eyelash curler not curling them.
2. Next dust your lashes with some mineral foundation powder; you can apply it lightly with a brush or a cotton swab. This acts like a primer and holds the mascara to the lashes and also will add a slight bit of length.
3. Apply your mascara! I like to add it in layers, and be sure to really get the outside lashes to make your eyes open up. Add a few layers being sure to work on one eye at a time. Do not let the application dry in-between coats, this is what causes those clumps!
More Helpful Hints for Mascara Wearers
Do not pump your mascara wand in and out of the tube. This lets air in which will cause your mascara to dry out sooner than it should. It also traps bacteria inside the tube. Instead swirl your brush inside of the tube to coat the wand.
Try not to use waterproof Mascara unless absolutely necessary. The chemicals in the mascara can cause eye lash breakage.
When applying mascara, wiggle the wand at the base of the lashes. It's the mascara placed near the roots (not the tips) that gives the illusion of length.
Apply mascara with a Zig-zag motion. Zig-zagging the wand back & forth starting at the base, This helps cut down on clumps during application.
And finally check to see if your mascara brush is getting a little clumpy. Wash it with any eye makeup remover or a mild soap just like you would your makeup brushes. Just be sure to rinse thoroughly and let it air dry before putting it back in the tube! Be sure to also wipe your eyelash curler after each use and replace any pads as necessary!

I also have had so many requests for a Natural Mascara and have found a few different brands that I have sent our for testing. As soon as I get the feedback on them I will decide which one will go up for sale on the site! Have Questions? Send them to de@mineralsilk.com
