Looking to create some last minute Homemade Gift Ideas by yourself or
with the kids? This is Great for Hostess Gifts, or Teachers! My Daughters Dance Teachers loved these when they gave them some last week!
Candy Cane Bath Salts
Ingredients:
3 cups of Epsom salts
3 Teaspoons of Sweet Almond Oil 9 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil 1 drop of red food coloring ( more if you like) 1 drop of green food coloring What you will need to decorate:
Purchase several jars with turn lids or cork seals. I always get
mine at our local Dollar Store in Bulk! Red, Green, Gold, Silver or printed Christmas Ribbon
Several gift tags shaped like candy canes or several candy canes (small ones)
To make the salts:
Take Three bowls and in each bowl add one cup of salt.
Place a 1 teaspoon of almond oil into each bowl with the salts.
Then add three drops of peppermint oil to each bowl.
In the first bowl add a drop of red food coloring, into the second
bowl add the green and the third leave white. Mix each bowl well. This will leave you with a bowl of green a bowl
of red and a bowl of white scented salts. Let sit for a few hours covered. To create the candy cane effect start with the white layer on the
bottom of your jar. Then add a layer of red and a layer of green, over and over until you fill the jar. Decorate your jar with the ribbons and add a gift tag. Be sure to
add the directions on how to use the bath salts to the gift tags before handing them out! Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
