Subject: Subscriber, Here are some Quick Eye Opening Tips! - January26, 2007

Here are some quick tips to open up your eyes without spending hundreds!

Quick Fix for Puffy Eyes - Anything cold will do!  No need to run out and by a cucumber,
unless of course you need it for a salad or tea sandwiches. Place two spoons in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes and rest them on your eyes for a moment. This will perk up slack, tired skin around the eyes.

Camouflage Dark Circles -
Use a moisturizing gel or serum that wont build up under the eyes. Matte concealers are the best for this area and they need to be light enough to cover the dark circles but not too light.  Yellow or slightly Orange concealers help to counteract the bluish tinge of under eye circles. You can mix are Bye Bye Under Eye and our Brighten up to create an Orange concealer.

Here is a tip for covering those under eye circles.  Tilt your head down, then look up into a mirror - your under eye circles will look very obvious but you will see precisely where to apply the concealer.  Most people apply the concealer under the entire eye area, but it is unnecessary and can give you that Panda Bear eye look.  Apply concealer just where the hollow appears under the eye and don't forget to get in the hollow of your eye next to the tear-ducts.

Need a Brow lift?
Groomed Eye Brows do wonders at perking up your eyes and your face. If you need more definition or you have over plucked like we all have done, just use a matte eye shadow that matches your brows to fill in the sparse areas.  To add some extra eye opening appeal add a sweep of White Highlite directly under your brow bone and also add a dot in the corner of your eye for an instant eye lift and bright eyed look, you can purchase it here: http://www.mineralsilk.com/mineral-makeup-concealers-p-94.html

You can also use any of the lighter shadows in this area to open up your eyes.  Try Oyster or Malted for a similar effect check them out here: http://www.mineralsilk.com/mineral-makeup-shimmer-eye-shadows-p-105.html

Fake a Lash Line -
If you have the time and the patience add a few false eyelashes to the outer corner of your eyes to extend your lash line.  This will open your eyes and give you that wide eye doe effect.  Don't want to fuss with the lashes?  Just sweep a little eyeliner or shadow upward on the outer corner of your eye.
Curl those lashes!

You will not believe the difference this makes just by adding a curl to your lashes.  Be sure to curl lashes before applying mascara or you will lose some lashes.  Apply mascara in light coats and concentrate on the outer lashes to open up your eyes.
