Subject: Eyeshadow Colors for Your Eyes! - July08, 2006

"What Eye Shadow Color should I wear with my Eyes?"

Subscriber, I get so many emails asking this question.
Personally, I feel the answer to this question is, "whatever color makes you feel good at the moment and whatever looks good!"  If you are wondering what eye shadow colors look best on a certain eye color type, or what colors can really make those eyes POP, then you can check out the examples below.

For Blue Eyes:
Taupe's, Beige, Gray, Violet, Purple, Plums and Deep Blues (a darker shade of blue than your actual eye color makes your eyes really blue) or black (mix it with bright blue for a smoky effect).
For a little bit of Fun or a nighttime look you can try: Silver, Turquoise or a Fuchsia. If your not so daring, go with a Raspberry or Plum.

Green or Hazel Eyes:
Brown, Apricot, Purples, Plum, Dark Khakis or Deep Greens can actually brighten already Green eyes. For a little bit of Fun or a nighttime look you can try a Gold, really light or Pale Greens, Bright Purples and Plums. Colors in the Pink family really make green Eyes POP!

Brown Eyes:
Copper, Bronze, Champagne (soft pink with a touch of beige), Brown, and Sage or Olive Green. You can try blue in the daytime, but be sure it is not a really light Baby Blue.
For a little bit of Fun or a nighttime look you can try Deep Corals or Oranges, Deep Blue, Bright Pink or Intense Greens.

Just remember, if your eyes look like something that might have been left in a Easter Basket - you may have gone a little too far!

Wear subtle shades during the day, but by night play those eyes up! Don't forget to curl those lashes and add mascara either; it really opens your eyes up and finishes the look. Try to stay away from the waterproof mascara whenever possible as this actually can cause damage to your delicate lashes. Save the waterproof mascara for occasions when you know you are really going to need it!
