Great Escape
A look at what to do in the major U.S. and
worldwide tourist destinations. -- January 2, 2006
|
The region of Quebec is of unequalled historical and
cultural heritage with its architecture, pedestrian streets and
fortifications, unique in North America. A visit to the Plain of Abraham and
Vieux-Quebec will provide you with over 400 years of historical discovery.
Basically, Quebec City is a living tribute to the past. If you visit Quebec
City during January 27 to February 12, 2006, you can participate in the
biggest winter carnival in the world, Carnaval de Quebec and meet Bonhomme,
the most prestigious ambassador of the Carnival.
