When you think of Aspen, skiing comes to mind, right? Well,
there's so much more to Aspen than that. The conditions that set Aspen apart
from other ski towns are Aspen has its origins in nature and history. By the
time the first ski runs were developed in the late 1930s, the town already had
a 62-year-old history enriched with historic buildings and character.
Visionary leadership during the 40s and 50s made Aspen an enclave of high
quality art, science and culture. If you visit during the weekend of January
12th, you can take part in the 55th Anniversary of Winterskol, Aspen's
"toast of winter", a four-day celebration of on-mountain activities;
call 970-925-1940 for more information.
