Iowa's largest and most complete family resort complex is Adventure Amusement Park, with over 100 rides, shows and some of the most thrilling coasters and thrill rides.

Iowa's first millionaire, Benjamin Franklin Allen, built an 18,000 square-foot mansion for the cost of only $250,000 in 1866. The 30-acre estate includes the mansion, carriage house and furnishings. "The Palace of the Prairie" is now the governor's mansion.
