Article: Why Does Barry Get the Best Pitches? One thing is for sure about Barry Bonds - the man has a talent for hitting baseballs. Or, does he…? Maybe he just gets lucky with the pitches. I wonder if the other players sit there in the dugout, and when Barry hits a homerun, they just curse their luck and complain, “Why does Barry get the best pitches? If I could get pitches like that, I could be a homerun king!” C’mon – they’re getting the same pitches. Do you sit and watch games on TV and think the same thing…? If only you could get the kind of pitches Barry gets, you’d be a baseball star? Okay, so maybe you don’t do that with baseball. How about other things? Like your business? Or, life in general..? “If only I got the breaks that person got…then I’d be successful!” “…rich!” “…happy!” In his book “Success Principles,” Jack Canfield talks about Dr. Robert Resnick’s formula: E + R = O. Event + Response = Outcome. When we say, “If only I got that guy’s breaks,” we are suggesting it is just the Event that matters, and discount the person’s Response. Like saying that it’s just the pitch (Event) that leads to the homerun (Outcome) – and has nothing to do with Barry’s swing (Response). Granted, I’m no baseball expert, but I’m betting Barry doesn’t have just one swing – identical each time – and stands at the plate praying that the pitcher accidentally throws the ball right at his bat. He’s a big guy – and his strike zone is pretty big – and if he didn’t adjust his R to match a variety of E’s, his O would be that he’d barely have a hit to his name. In fact, he wouldn’t even be playing pro ball. My kids are doing homework right now. Let’s say my daughter’s first grade math page is dealing with adding to 5, and the first problems is: 2 + __ = 5. 2 is the Event. 5 is the Outcome. She needs to write 3 (Response) to get it right. If she responds with 3 for each of the other problems, each with a different E, she’s going to get more wrong than right. She can complain that it isn’t fair that the math page is giving her the wrong E’s, but that won’t get her far. Complaining about the E’s is not an appropriate R to get the desired O. (It may have worked with some things when you were a kid, if you had pushover parents who had a low threshold for whining, but you’re in the big league now, and it won’t fly anymore, Kiddo.). The E’s are going to be what they are. They are the same E’s that everyone else is getting. If my daughter wants to get the desired Outcome… She needs to adjust her R’s. Barry needs to adjust his R’s. You need to adjust your R’s. The good news is, your R’s can be adjusted. The tools and resources are available – all that’s needed, as Werner Van Braun said when JFK asked him what it would take to put a man on the moon, is, “The will to do it.” Adjust your R’s, and hit it out of the park! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- II. Tapping Transcription: Dare To Be Rich (Side of the Hand) Even though I’m daring to be rich, I deeply and completely love and accept myself, Even though I’m daring to talk about wealth, I deeply and completely love and forgive myself, Even though I have the audacity to talk about wealth, When so many people are starving, When so many people are suffering, How dare I ask for more, I should get down on my knees, And be extremely grateful for what I’ve got, And that’s true, However, Wanting more, Oh my goodness, What kind of an awful person am I? I should be as poor as they are, That would make them feel better, I don’t wanna’ be rich, And have other people feel badly, At how little they have, And the truth is, Abundance is unlimited, And denying abundance, Doesn’t serve anybody, These people need help, If I was a multi-millionaire, I could be doing for these people, What the government has been slow to do, I could help them a whole lot more, If I had a whole lot more, I could do a lot of good with a lot of money, So at times like this, Where I see so much suffering, I choose to be clear, That it’s a really good thing, For me to be extremely wealthy, And that being poor, Doesn’t serve anybody, And even though I’m daring to wanna be rich, And it makes me a little sick to my stomach, I deeply and completely, Love and forgive and accept myself, And all these people, Who are suffering, (EyeBrow Point) How dare I wan to be rich, (Side of the Eye) How dare I want more? (Under the Eye) How dare I…….? (Under the Nose) How dare I want more than I’ve got, (Under the Mouth) When so many are going without, (CollarBone Point) What kind of a horrible person am I? (Under the Breast) To want to take advantage, (Under the Arm) Of the Universal abundance, (Top of the Head) When there are other people who are going without, (EB) People who seem to have no access to it, (SE) People who are being denied access to it, (UE) How dare I want what’s out there, (UN) I probably shouldn’t eat today, (UM) I probably shouldn’t drink fresh water, (CB) I shouldn’t take care of myself, (UB) That’ll help these people, (UA) I should allow myself to get sick, (TH) What would really help these people, (EB) Is to have more people suffering in the world, (SE) That’s what part of me thinks, (UE) There’s a part of me, (UN) That made a decision years ago, (UM) That it wasn’t right to be rich, (CB) In a world where people suffered, (UB) And that belief, (UA) Has held me back for so long, (TH) From enjoying what I could enjoy, (EB) And from helping where I could help, (SE) If I hadn’t been given that belief, (UE) Who knows what I could be doing for these people right now, (UN) And it’s not wrong to enjoy my life, (UM) Everyone’s connected by energy, (CB) And that energy vibrates, (UB) It can vibrate at a low level, (UA) It can vibrate at a high level, (TH) Thank God, (EB) There’s some people right now, (SE) Vibrating at a high level, (UE) Because if we all started vibrating at a low level, (UN) Out of empathy for the Gulf Coast, (UM) The world would come to a stop, (CB) We need balance, (UB) The work I’m doing right now, (UA) This clearing work I’m doing at this moment, (TH) Is clearing out negativity, (EB) For me to be on this call right now, (SE) Is actually beneficial, (UE) I’m increasing the vibrational energy of the Universe, (UN) And God knows it needs help right now, (UM) So rather than being disgusted with myself, (CB) I choose to allow myself, (UB) To feel good about what I’m doing, (UA) ‘Cause I’m actually helping right now, (TH) I am helping right now, (EB) Even if it never changed my financial abundance, (SE) In this moment right now, (UE) I am healing the Universal energy, (UN) It would be helpful if more people were doing this, (UM) I choose to feel good about what I’m doing, (CB) And if I get a lot of money out of this, (UB) So much the better, (UA) It’s all good, (TH) And I choose to feel good, Take A Deep Breath! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- IV. Reminder Item Perhaps you've read my article called Manifestation 101, which SelfGrowth.com also distributed. The manifestation steps are: 1. Create It 2. Clear It 3. Live It 4. Let Go (& Let God) To go along with that, here is a collection of affirmations from abundance experts John Randolph Price and Catherine Ponder. I recommend you print these out and post them where you will read them each morning. Nothing is too good to be true. Nothing is too wonderful to happen. Nothing is too good to last. My conscious awareness of the Divine Presence as my supply is my supply. I am now consciously aware of the indwelling fountain of overflowing abundance. Therefore, I AM abundant supply. My consciousness is the very energy of money. I AM the Spirit of Infinite Plenty. I am boundless abundance, and with love in my heart, I let the universal riches stream forth into perfect manifestation. What is expressed in love must be returned in full measure. Therefore, wave after wave of visible money supply flows to me now. I am wonderfully rich in consciousness, and I am bountifully supplied with money. I now realize my plan for abundant living. There is always an abundance of money, and I now let it come to me. I am open to receive. I cannot be limited, for I am the Shining Sun of Supply, and God’s wealth fills my world. I am receiving. I am receiving now. I am receiving all the wealth that the universe has for me now. I do not depend on persons or conditions for my good. God is the source of my supply and God provides his own amazing channels of good to me now. All that is mine by divine right now comes to me speedily, richly, freely and easily. I am receiving now. It is finished. It is done. I give thanks that I have received, and that my good appears in rich appropriate form under divine timing.
